These Rat & Mouse Deterrent Balls have a Peppermint Oil Smell to them. They are small little balls that you spread out anywhere you don't want rodents. I have had 2 mice in my kitchen so far this year, so I put these all around the house. So far so good. Haven't had any problems since putting them out. Will see how winter goes, because that's when I usually get quite a few. I even put some in my basement, since I believe that's where they came from. Price is great. I do recommend them. These are great smelling deterrents without causing harm. The base is made from corn cob and essential oils act as the moth ball style repellant. I can't say whether they work or not, but I do know that peppermint oil does keep the vermits away so I expect these to work fine. Will update with any good or bad news.

So far they seem to be working fine. No signs of mice in my RV, The true test will be in the spring after it has been closed up all winter.

This is a nice way to control pests. If you can use smells to deter them, then I would prefer that to having to use traps. These are easy to use and shouldn't bother you at all. You just put some out and replace them in about 3 months when they scent wears down. I'm hopeful they will work reasonably well. ... show more

I like these a lot and i wanted to try something preventative. I've heard a lot about peppermint and I was excited to try it. It was easy to place these around the house and they smell great. I'm excited to see how well they work and if they make a difference.

I don't know if these work to detour mice or not, but they have a strong mint smell. I will use them in my shed over the winter and change them out every month or so. I figure they can't hurt and they will also make the shed smell nice.

This box of 12 individually wrapped mouse/pest deterrent balls is easy to use. Each one is wrapped individually and there is a tear line to open the packet to easily dispense the ball. They have a very strong smell but it is a mix of eucalyptus and mint -- sort of medicinal but unpleasant at all. I have used these in my shed to help control pests as the seasons are changing and it is getting colder at night. Hopefully these will help to keep them at bay and deter them -- I've only recently started using them so too early to tell for sure. It is an economical choice and worth a try in my opinion plus the smell, while off-putting to vermin, is pleasant to humans. ... show more
