My mom loves it! She is 88 and doesn't get around very well but she is able to have some independence because of her new scooter. My only issue is that the back of the seat will not lock into the up position. She must leave it folded down when she's not in it. If it is up and she would fall and grab for it, it would fold down and she would fall. The last picture shows in folded down. She is 4'11" and 210. It is the right size for her. We adjusted the arm rests and seat height for her. I rode it! It goes pretty fast but we had to turn the knob down for her! She will speed up in time!! It will creep along! I am 5'1" and 70 but pretty good shape (so far) and was able to get it in and out of my suv by myself. I took off the battery, the seat and the basket. (Which is really good quality). I can not lift the scooter. But I could put the front wheels up in the car (there is a handle on the front) and then picked up the backend and rolled it in! It wasn't to hard doing it that way. The controls are like the ones on the scooters at Walmart etc. It is not real comfortable but she should not be sitting in it all day. But comfortable enough. I recommend this scooter so far! I've added to this regarding usage experience. Separating the parts for loading is easy. Loading into our SUV goes great. The individual components are lighter and easier to load than a wheel chair. Works great, easy to maneuver. Speed control is responsive. People have commented on how easy it is to load after seeing me in the grocery store parking. Just recieved and assembled it. Super easy! Don't know about the performance yet, I'll update that after we've used it some. Notes on receiving and assembly: 1. The box is heavy. 100 pounds heavy. You may need help. You will need some sort of wheeled device to move it. (If you don't have anything, buy a two wheeler from Lowes or Home Depot. Use it this once, clean it up, and return it for refund. Just say you changed your mind.) 2. Lay the box flat on the floor. Right side up. Cut the straps and carefully cut the tape. Don't cut deep. Open the box and take out the easy stuff. Read the two page instructions. No, really read them. 3. After you take out the easy stuff, cut all 4 corners of the box to lay it flat. This will give you easy access to the rest of the parts. 4. Following the instructions, complete the assembly. Charge the battery 12 hours! If you want to move the assembled scooter look on the right rear fender. Little lever with pictures on the sticker. Move the lever forward and roll the scooter where you want to. Move the lever back to lock. 5. Clean up and dispose of the packing. Sit down with your preferred beverage and read the instruction book like I'm getting ready to. ... show more

I love my purple metro mobility scooter. The price was good for it. To use on my cruise, it was perfect for it, it went through my cabin door great. It didn’t fit in some places the shops I wanted to go into. The seat needs to be more softer, it was to hard on my tail bone. Need more room to get my feet on the scooter the humps are to high that over the wheels in front. I had to use my hands to pul my legs up higher to get my feet on. I bought this because I have mobility issues and a big dog, and walking her became a problem for me. So I would fire this up and run her up and down the road by my house. It has good power, good speed, is easy to operate and it worked great all last year. I took the battery out for the winter and put the scooter in the garage. This year it wouldn't start for me. I got in contact with the person who is customer service, and he has been absolutely wonderful. ... show more

The first one I received would not power on at all. I messaged the seller and they sent a new one. It took the Metropolitan warehouse and delivery months to deliver it. But I am 100% in love with this scooter. It rides smoothly, especially going over speed bumps, and it is also smooth off-road. The battery life is amazing. I get so many compliments and have to tell them where I purchased it from. The only thing I don't like is the alarm when backing up. Just got it today. It's very easy to put together. But, It's definitely too heavy for a elderly or handicap person to put in and out of car by themselves. This is not meant for carpet, but rides ok on hard wood floors. Took it outside and it does well on side walks, street, and short grass. I'm 5'2 and it's just barely big enough for my short legs. Anyone taller than myself would have a problem. I have to put my feet above front wheels, not the place right in front of me. As far as speed, it goes pretty fast. ... show more

Just had this delivered to replace my current scooter. It is nice but the seat is very low and the top height is very low and makes you feel as if you are on the ground. Perhaps it is better for taller people as I am 5"6. Other than that, it has a lot of nice features like charging your cell phone right from the scooter and the back up light and front lights. ... show more
