Comfort is a personal preference. To me this pillow is not comfortable. It is soft and memory foam. It does seem to be built well and I didn’t find it hot at all. I am giving it a three star as it does help with the pain I am experiencing at the base of my skull when I wake up. It doesn’t eliminate the pain but it reduces it. Really nice and comfortable pillow, but it has a smell. It's not a bad smell, but it's pretty overwhelming coming out of the package. It smells like it's filled with some version of Bounce dryer sheets, kind of perfumey. I'm giving it a few days to air out.
