  • Would not recommend due to rotation switches do not hold
Style: Wheeled base Color: Metal head & base/Wheeled base Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
Needed to replace my Sears Craftsman large diameter, all metal and brass sprinkler. Found this as highly recommended. Looked promising as I need a large diameter sprinkler. Within 15 minutes of use, I had to readjust the rotation switches. After an hour of use, they had to be adjusted three times to keep the water where I needed it. After moving the sprinkler to the second location, starting it back up, it then stuck in one location and would not rotate. I had to manually move the head to get it moving again. After a minute or two, it locked again so I manually started the head again. And again after about a minute, it locked again. Started it manually and it started working for about 3-4 minutes before the switches started moving again causing the water to again go beyond my yard into the neighbor's yard. I will be returning this for another brand. I will need to look at Sears.com ... show more

  • Performing as Expected Without Any Issues So Far
Style: Spike Color: Metal head & base/Step spike Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
Living on the Central Texas Gulf Coast hot, dry summers are very normal for this region. We had been lucky to have been receiving at least one decent rain shower a week, up until the first week of August. By then it was time for me to need to start watering my grass. Between the 95+ temperatures and no rain, the grass in my yard was starting to turn brown in some spots. It was at this time that I come to find out that the sprinkler that I had used for the previous few summers was no longer working properly and I was in need of a new one. Unfortunately for me, no one store in my town still had water sprinklers available, so I had to order one online. This one seemed like a good choice because I did not want another plastic one. I have been using this sprinkler two to three times a week for the past 3 weeks and it has been performing as expected. I have not experienced any difficulties in placing the spike into the ground or having any parts of the sprinkler break, as I read some other buyers seemed to have problems with. I purchased this item at the regular price at which it was offered for personal use. I did NOT receive any type of promotional discount in exchange for this review. • Good sprinkler for the price, sturdy
Style: Spike Color: Metal head & base/Step spike Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
This is a decent pulsating sprinkler with all the features needed to customize the distance and area of spread. The product states it covers 85ft. diameter is misleading since that means it is a full circle. 1/2 of that is 42ft from the sprinkler. To cover that distance the sprinkler has to be "open". There are 2 other pieces to configure which will reduce the distance but break up straight distance spray. 1.) A screw by turning will come in contact with the water and disperse it so its more of a spray. 2.) flat metal piece that angles from top down so that you force the water to go lower to the ground. Both of these options will significantly reduce the distance by at least 1/2. If left in the open position the dispersion of the water between the sprinkler and the end distance is minimal, which means the majority of the water output is left at the circumference of the arc. There is also two metal contact points so you can start and end the area of coverage. Or leave the contact pivot point up and it will spin in a 360. Reviewers state that the stake is easily bent, I found it to be adequate perhaps my soil is a but soft but there are rocks underneath. I wouldn't go hammering or force stepping into the ground (although thats what it i meant for) as I can easily push and pull it out of the ground with my hands. Overall it is a good product for the price. Many in ground pulsating sprinkler systems overlap their coverage and I feel this will need the same. i wasn't expecting it to shoot water +100ft, but had to find a good dispersion point so it covers my entire lawn. To that I used the open setting then switch to more spray to get water evenly spread out. Not ideal but perhaps if spending more then I would get 2 of these. ... show more

  • do not work well in string
Style: Spike Color: Metal head & base/Step spike Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
I have three of these and they all work fine in single. The all metal construction is nice and they seem very sturdy. I have good water pressure at my home but if I string these together (even two) there is not enough water pressure to activate the mechanism so they do not rotate, they just spray out in one place. When there is only one, it sprays and the mechanism moves so it rotates appropriately. I wanted to have two set up for my backyard (approximately 50'x50') but one in the corner will reach out about 30' so I have to move it on alternate days. ... show more

  • Don't spend your money...
Style: Spike Color: Plastic head & metal base/Spike Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
This is a very cheap alternative to a real water sprinkler. The distance is okay however the spring on the sprinkler head comes off very easily and when that happens, the sprinkler does not turn any longer. I fixed it multiple times since March. I was going to send it back but not worth the product shipping costs. Update: I contacted Amazon, they refunded my money for this item. This is why I shop here. Thank you Amazon! ... show more

  • Good product
Style: Spike Color: Plastic head & metal base/Spike Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
First I like it a lot and use it often. I have ganged this up with second unit to cover small backyard. They can link putting a hose between the units. On downside is they leak a bit in water at the base , can’t get this to stop , must be a design issue. Since I leave these in my raised bed I use leakage to water the bed. If this would bother you , then upgrade might be needed. ... show more

  • Sprinkler Head is NOT all metal
Style: Wheeled base Color: Metal head & base/Wheeled base Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
This sprinkler is advertised as having an all metal head - but it is not. Part of it is metal, and the other part is gold-painted plastic - painted to look like metal. I ordered 4, and 1 leaked really bad, so had to be returned. The other 3 work well - but I chose this sprinkler because it was advertised as being all metal... Update 60 days later: 2 more are leaking from the base - I can't return them now... I wouldn't recommend these sprinklers to anyone! ... show more
