Description

Size:2-Zone Automate the watering on two separate areas of the yard with a 2-Zone digital water timer. Simply set how often and how long you want to water and let the timer do the work for you. Set a sprinkler to water the lawn every other day and another to run frequently in a newly planted flower bed. Need to fill a bucket up or spray off the deck? Just use the manual watering option. If rain is in the forecast, use a rain delay to pause the watering for up to 7 days and it will automatically start again when the delay is over. Whether you are home or away, make sure you never forget to water again! Ensure you always have a leak-free seal with additional filter washers. Melnor has included 3 extra filter washers so you can easily replace them if they become lost or worn. Need additional information or assistance from Melnor? Leave feedback or ask a question below. • Does its job, but one small glitch
Size: 4-Zone
I also have an older one port and two Port so I'm pretty familiar with how these models work it takes a few minutes to get used to the programming and get used to how to turn on and off manual because when you turn manual on one zone for 5 minutes and then maybe you come back another day to turn on manual another zone ,the original Zone you set for 5 minutes also comes on so you have to make sure all zones are set to 0 minutes in manual if you're only doing just one zone ,takes a bit to get used to but I had no issues with leaking I had no issues with false watering it worked very well I had mine laying on the ground and the rains and whether it just took a beating no issues at all spend a few minutes reading the manual and I'll save you a long time and programming I would definitely buy another one if I had a need for 4-port One other item to note I had a situation where I only needed three of the zones and not the 4th so it wasn't clear on how to disable one zone but I figured out if you programmed the zone that you don't need to 0 minutes it never turns on, the manual never stated how to disable a Zone I guess it assumed that you would use all four ports all of the time hope this help somebody ... show more

  • Not super durable but works well and great service
Size: 2-Zone
I was able to install and set up this product without using any instructions (the design is very intuitive). The water flows when I programmed it to and for the correct duration. CAUTION: Mine broke at the plastic joint that connects the device to the bib collar. This breakage occurred while I was moving sprinklers and I assume that tension on the hose was too much for the plastic collar. Once installed, DO NOT pull your hoses without disconnecting them from the timer as a precaution against breakage. SERVICE: Awesome. I took the broken timer inside, went to the company's warranty claim site, filled in my name and address, snapped a picture of the broken timer, and within one business day, received a shipment/tracking number for a replacement. I consider this to be excellent service. OVERALL: I like the timer. It works great. The fact that it broke so easily means I can't give this 5 stars. But due to exceptional service, I give this a solid 4 stars. ... show more

  • Warning - Incorrect Information
Size: 2-Zone
I ordered this timer based on the description saying up to 4 separate start times could be programmed for each of the 2 zones. The instructions were clearly written, but no where did it say or show how to program start times, 2, 3 or 4. So I called Melnor's customer service department and was told the description was incorrect. This model, 63100, will only support 1 start time per zone. The model that does support 4 start times is model 73100, which costs $45. I returned the unit to Amazon for credit. ... show more

  • Pretty Good product
Size: 4-Zone
UPDATE: After only using last summer and now part of 2021 summer, it is broken and I can't seem to contact them for the 7 year warranty. Won't shut off now. That's only using for about 6 months last year and about 4 this year. I just started using the device more regularly for my garden. I like it overall. Pros: 1. Fairly easy to hook up. That part is better than other products I've used. 2. Being able to program 4 distinct watering sections and have them start at different times (preferred for H20 pressure.) is great. Especially since you can start and stop the times of watering with great flexibility and multiple times. So if you want zone 2 to run 30 minutes at 10 a.m. and zone 4 for 10 minutes at 7 a.m. you can and if you want, you could run each zone 20 times a day. LOL. Not sure why, but you can. 3. You can run manually in one or multiple zones at one time for as short or long as you desire. Cons: 1. The learning curve is a little bit more than I had hoped for, but it's not completely horrible, just be aware it may take you a few bits to learn to operate correctly. 2. On mine, Zone 1 has a little less pressure, but its no big deal since I am using that zone just as a hose. ... show more

  • Should be '0' stars, does not shut off!!!
Size: 4-Zone
I purchased this and received on the 7th of August 2019. I set it up and to run on only 2 ports. It worked fine for 2 days then the first port I set up never shut off at the allotted time, just kept running. I have 3 of the old melnor 4 port timers and have not had any problem with them and now I can't order any more of them unless I want to pay 150.00 for it. This particular melnor and the orbit sprinkler timer are set up about the same and when I used an orbit timer it did the same thing, stopped shutting off after seven days of use. I would like to order an older model melnor but not at the high price and used at that. in my opinion, just a bad product design. ... show more

  • Buttons stick. Can’t turn on. Even on 2nd purchase
Size: 4-Zone
Update: returned my first one and ordered the same one thinking it was a fluke. After 3 weeks of use the bottons are sticking! The “+” Button sticks And I can’t set the correct amount of time I want the water to turn on four. As soon as I press the button it sticks and goes all the way to 360 minutes. So then i have to shut it all off and try again. So frustrated and now my return window is closed. I’ll never order the brand again. (I also had the older model that I purchased this year and with less than three months of use it cracked at the hose bib part) I’m out over $100 on both of these. I’ve only had this in my garden for a week and the buttons are sticking making it impossible to set the timers and turn it on. I will be returning and buying the older model which I have 3 of and haven’t had any issues with. ... show more

  • Works until it doesnt
Size: 4-Zone
Worked great for ~1 month or so and then two of the solenoids got stuck open with no way to close them. I opened it up to see if there was any way to fix it. The inside is a rats nest. Looks like an electronics project I would've done in middle school. Completely not serviceable

  • Doesn't work
Size: 4-Zone
I have used Melnor times for years and this one is so bad I am returning it. From day 1 NONE of the valves would not open if there was any water pressure on them. I have had this happen on the newer Melnor timers before but this one is the worst.
