I have wanted one of these since experiencing the commercial "Footsie Wootsies" at the local State Fair. While the commercial foot vibrators really vibrate all the pain away, this home model is pretty darned good. It is well built, solid, fairly heavy. It is just as the Amazon ad describes it. It pretty much alleviates my neuropathy and also foot soreness after my walk. It's super simple to use - I always just put the knob on high. While it's fairly expensive, I think it really is worth it. You can also easily flip it to massage your calves, especially if you put one leg on top of the other to increase the pressure. While it can't really match those big commercial models with a shaking steel plate, I think it is as intense as a home model can get. And if you want a gentle massage, the lower settings will do that, as well. I'm glad I finally bought it. ... show more

Please know that no one paid me to write this review. My parents are in their late 80s and my dad's feet were starting to swell with the high humidity and summer coming, any my mom's legs were bothering her as well. I chose the MedMessager because of it's ease of use. My dad doesn't like anything tight or enclosing, so the majority of foot messagers were out. With this MedMessager, he can sit in his recliner, turn it on (we keep it set to lowest level) and just put his feet on it. If he wants he can wear his shoes, slippers, socks, or how both my parents prefer -- bare feet. It's easy to clean with just a quick wipe down. My dad uses this daily, just 10 or 15minues a day, and the swelling and pain in his feet is gone, same for my mom. Will admit, because of it's high cost (but then it's medically certified), I was very worried they weren't going to use it, but because it actually works, and it works with the way they need it to work-- ease of use, non-compression, not encasing, but just vibrations and can put their feet on it, the price was well worth it. Just a warning, when you first open the box there is notice saying not to use before checking with a doctor. Since this is the first time I purchased a messager I've no idea if they all say that. My parents don't have any known medical issues, the swelling seems to come from the humidity and heat, and also my dad's 89 and not as active in walking as he once was. But it's working for him and my mom, and that's all that matters to me. Important note: This machine has no remote control or timer (wish it did), maybe the newer (and even more expensive) models might have. But we use a cooking timer to make sure not to go over the recommended 15mins (recommended twice daily or as needed). It's not quiet, because it uses powerful vibrations, but it's not really that loud, and even if it was -- for 15minutes and with what it does -- well worth that small inconvenience. ... show more

I read the reviews and sprang for this extremely over-priced foot massager. I immediately had buyers remorse after clicking the buy because of the outrageous price. This is nothing more than a VERY noisy over-priced vibration device. If you are looking at purchasing this and spending $200+ bothers you, I'm sure there are cheaper products that do the same thing. That said, my wife encouraged me to at least try it out and see what I think before sending it back. I have rheumatoid arthritis and if you are intimately familiar with this, you know how the webbing that occurs internally can cause so much discomfort and pain. Also, if you do a lot of standing, especially on tile or cement, you know just how bad your feet can ache. Those are the reasons why I spent a stupid amount of money for a vibrating foot/calf device. So, I took this out of the box and it is completely assembled with a decent length cord. It is heavy for the size which turns out to be a good thing. I set it up as close to my chair as possible to support using this on both my feet and calves. I started on low and worked up to high over time. I'm going to warn you not to use this on high unless you are in super fantastic foot and leg health. The high setting may not seem too bad at first, but it will end up causing you new problems if you are in poor health. This device can vibrate so strongly, it would work for king kong. I highly recommend using 1-5 just starting out. This vibrating device is capable of knocking out several years of rheumatoid webbing in one sitting on high which will lead to a host of problems for those with this condition. The low settings are excellent for rheumatoid. I can see where this will work for a wide range of ages and health levels. Even if you use the low settings for long enough, it will provide a lot of relief. If you are just using this for sore feet at the end of the day, it won't take long to provide very soothing relief. If you are using this for restless leg syndrome (lack of circulation) it may take setting it between 5-10 on the power level and just use it until you feel your legs really warm up. Then you will be able to go to bed without the frustration of RLS. In the end, I'm happy with my purchase. This is a beast, tank, king kong vibration device that will probably last the rest of my life. I don't like the price, but I decided to keep it since it does address my three major use cases. ... show more
