Got this (the twin 700 GSM version- for 24.99 at time of order) for my 12 year old son's mattress as it's getting a little worn down, and since it's in an ikea loft bed it just sits on slats on the ground-so I want to make him more cozy but since I'm beyond broke....I can't afford much. I feel like it's essentially just a semi fluffy blanket sewn into a quilt like pattern w/some elastic straps added. Nothing special, so to me the price point should be lower. It doesn't seem like a long lasting, big improvement to a mattress the way they style it in the description. It doesn't have enough substance for THAT lol. It DOES, however, add a slight puffy barrier between you & the mattress so if that's all you need to make your bed perfectly cozy then this'll be great! If you need more than that and can afford it- I'd recommend getting a thicker, maybe gel type topper instead (or both for the best results!) though. Pics: I pulled the mattress out to show you what it looks like on bed without anything extra. FWIW: my 12 yr old did put it on himself at first and said "it was really easy to do" (coming from a boy that acts like putting on a fitted sheet is a big chore....that says something lol!) TLDR; just ok, adds a little cushion but doesn't really fix a troublesome mattress. Best for an already decent bed. ... show more

We've had several of these over the years and really enjoy the comfort they add to our bedding, and the elastic straps hold the toppers in place Very well. I think my only complaint is that they are VERY stain-prone and we have to replace them every 4-8 months simply because they don't hold up to repeated washings. (Ex-- my daughter spilled a coke on her bed and the topper was terribly stained. It survived one wash but when we ran it a second time with more oxy-clean, it came apart in the washer and stuffing was everywhere) We just budget to replace them 2-3 times a year and it isn't a big deal since they're inexpensive, but if you're looking for something to last for a long time, or if you have spill-prone kids, you may want something more durable. ... show more

The mattress in my guest bedroom was hard and uncomfortable and not suitable for a guest or even my nap (when I am fortunate to get one!). So I purchased this mattress topper about mid-May and it seemed very comfortable; however, I was in the process of redoing the guest bed/bedroom and didn't finish until this morning -- six weeks later -- so couldn't write a review. Now I can! I bought the full size topper for a twin bed based on some reviews that indicated the fluffiness stopped short of the sides. I did not find that to be the case so my topper is a tad long and wide but I just tucked it under or to the backside of the bed. It is SO comfy and "like a cloud" does aptly describe the sensation while lying on it. I will add that I put two 1-1/4" layers of egg crate foam under it (cheapest egg crate at local big box store) because of the very hard mattress so I don't know how much that helped. All I know is that I now have a very comfortable bed for guests and my naps and I have an orderly bedroom again. I haven't washed it, but according to other reviews, it launders very well. I highly recommend this topper -- it is comfortable and reasonably priced. My 3-1/2 year old great-grandson says that will be his bed when he's visiting overnight which he hasn't done yet, but maybe soon. ... show more
