I've probably used this grill 10 times in the little over a year that I've had it, and now the fan won't turn on to heat the charcoal while in the chamber. I've watched youtube videos on changing out the fan, and I even went on to Amazon to order the fan replacement, as well as the sensors that send the signal to the device to let is know that the lid is closed, and that the fan is allowed to run (Safety mechanism, built in to 3 components on the grill. I replace the fan and the sensors, and it worked for 2 more grill sessions. Went back out the third time, and back to no working fan. Although the display seems to be working perfectly. There seems to be no help from MaterBuilt, and several people on YouTube have done videos complaining about it. Buyer beware, unless you like to spend this kind of money for something that will grill almost less than a dozen times. ... show more

This is an excellent smoker. It’s easy to use and I can trust that the temperature is remaining constant. I will say that assembly was a bear, but I also did it by myself. My only issue is that I used it in the rain and the digital display does not work as well anymore, so I have to rely on the app which is annoying, but not a dealbreaker. Also, make sure you purchase the cover for it. ... show more

Instruction video and booklet says use the box it came in to assemble. Watch out... if you have to return the unit.....your box is all cut open and useless. Unit appeared to have been used: marred screw holes, dented, cracked corners and confusing instructions. Never got to use it. Hope replacement is better. You won't see the damage until the unit is unboxed and parts spread out. ... show more
