I was looking for something to secure my wallet/keys in my car when I go on long runs (10+ miles). I don't like to run with a bunch of crap on my body...I'll keep my phone and individual car key on me, that's it. Even though I lock my car and have a steering wheel lock, I'm weary of people taking my valuables in a "smash and grab". I can secure this to an interior door handle, seat frame or other item and have more piece of mind. Product was perfect for securing my medications daily, after about 45 days the open button gets stuck after being pressed and I have to fight with the device to get it to retract again. Its still usable but went from a perfect solution for me to a very annoying one.

This is not the sturdiest thing in the world, With that said: I didn't buy this to be a super secure thing like a gun safe; I bought it because I had a roommate who kept inviting her drug addict friends over and my rx meds got stolen a few times. So having this, especially with the bike-cable-lock attachment point, meant I could put my meds in there, lock it to my bedframe, nightstand, or similar, and people decided it wasn't worth the hassle and left it alone, which is all I wanted. My biggest complaint is that it's not designed for pill bottles -- most of them don't fit, esp if you have more than one. But it does fit a couple of them and other small things and that may be all you need. Now that I no longer have a shady roommate, I pretty much just keep this in the trunk of my car. It's small enough to carry around one-handed and stash in a drawer, and it also just helps you keep your stuff separated from everything else if you're in a situation where you're, for example, sharing a hotel room with friends or whatever and you don't want to have to sort throughout your medications in the bathroom at the end of the trip. It's sort of like a clutch purse, maybe a little bigger than you might expect for something like that but very similar in size and style at least in my opinion, and it fits easily in a bag, backpack, or suitcase pocket. Also, it's really easy to change the combination once it's open, which has not always been true of other lockboxes I've tried -- I've had to return a couple because I wasn't physically strong enough to access the mechanism to change the combo. I wouldn't recommend it if you were really trying hard to keep someone from accessing your stuff because I feel pretty certain you could break this thing without too much effort. In fact, right now as we speak I'm looking into buying one that is more secure, larger and capacity, and harder to break into because that's something that I have to worry about more now. But if what you're looking for is just some basic security, it's a good buy and has lasted me for a few years with no issues. ... show more
