I’m a professional guitarist. Currently on tour and when not touring I’m teaching. I bought this as an instrument to teach on because I figured it was cheap and if I didn’t like it, at least I was only teaching on it. But this absolutely blows my other lesser quality guitars out of the water. It’s much better than a squire classic vibe, I would put it next to the neck with my sterling Mariposa. Except, I really love the neck feel. If you’re a shredder like me, you’ll enjoy the neck. If you like the classic telecaster neck this might be an adjustment for you. Don’t even attempt it if you’re a Gibson player. It’s very light which is great for my back when I’m teaching long days. And after some good shielding, I could even see this being a nice back up guitar on tour. The neck came straight The nut is well cut No cosmetic problems at all The tuners are great, I love roasted maple necks, and this feels just like all of my top end roasted maple necks. The bridge is fine and operational, but it leaves a little bit to be desired. It kind of looks like the cheap ashtray Bridges. However, it does not cut into my hand which I really like so I might not mess with that. As for the sound quality, it sounds pretty good. Like I said, I’ll be shielding it to get rid of some of the buzz but sounds really subjective. Plus, I’m using a Kemper and most people don’t have access to one of those so he might not get the same results as I do. One major bonus input jack is squared off, rather than rounded like a standard telecaster so the jack sits in there very nicely. Upper fret access is really good. It didn’t come completely tuned, but most Guitars don’t and if you complain about that then you probably shouldn’t be playing guitar. Lol. Learn how to tune your instrument. The pots feel extremely solid, as well as the switch. Much better than anything fenders put out in a long time. All of the modern cuts, such as the belly, cut the neck pocket cut, and the body contour are very comfortable. If I had to compare the neck to anything, it is a compound radius, so it’s relatively similar to Jackson, but not as slim as a jackson a little bit thicker. But it is not round it off like a fender or a baseball bat like a Gibson I would compare the neck to sterling models, thin PRS models (not the wide) and Schecter models. Thin C. The picture I took above is in the sunlight, so you can really see the color of this guitar. It is definitely a baby pink or shell pink color. The pick guard is kind of like a cream off-white. I think I would’ve preferred all white and I’ll be replacing the pick up switch knob for a white one later. ... show more

I got this to use at home as an imposter Fender Telecaster with my Fender GTX 100 amp. Right out of the box, the setup was excellent. No fret buzz anywhere, string spacing and height is right on. No blems in the finish nor nicks. Fit for parts on this guitar are pristine. No gaps, excess glue or any defects in paint. I actually expected there to be something to complain about at this price point. The packaging is well done and very protective. The guitar is incased in a dense foam shell and the cardboard used in the box is actually very rigid, as some of the cardboard used for imports can often be soft and easy to tear. I found the sound of this guitar and the ability to select either or both pickups and the tone control is responsive and sensitive to make changes in tone, ...it actually works and I've had other guitars where moving the pot fully in either direction (while selecting one or both pickups) did not change tone or the sound that much. This guitar can! It can purr as mellow as an acoustic or get into some harsh, bright and intense hard rock and metal! Combine this MUSI with a decent amp (they say a cheap electric guitar combined with a good amp works far better than a vice versa) and this MUSI will sound great! If you are in the market for a new amp (I sold me old lousy Line 6 and got the Fender GTX 100), consider that a decent amp will make this MUSI sound amazing. The hardware on this guitar looks and feels very solid and cosmetically, all of it looks professional. I see nothing misaligned, cheap, of with any cosmetic issues. I've looked at Fenders from Mexico and Fender American (made in the USA) and the electronics, fit and finish and setup out of the box on this MUSI will give both of those some serious competition for quality of construction, hardware used and most importantly, the sound. This MUSi can do metal, rock, Country, mimic an acoustic and much more. Buying a really decent amp can make a low priced electric guitar sound fantastic. Google cheap guitars and great amps and the consensus is, combining a lower end guitar with a better amp works extremely well versus a pricey guitar fed into a really lousy amp. I purchased the Fender GTX 100 amp at Amazon. My MUSI sounds like an expensive Fender! Solid, locking tuners on a guitar of this low cost are not common and even with the strings it shipped with, after an hour of heavy playing, the guitar never went out of tune. WOW! I got the baby blue color version and is it retro or what! Exactly what I wanted. If you go to Youtube, there's a bunch of videos by players a lot more expert and knowledgable then me and all of the reviews on this guitar are very positive. One reviewer said he compared it to his $1500 guitar and it comes really close to the same quality and play-ability. It took perhaps 10 minutes for me to know this MUSI was a keeper. Feed it through a decent amp and it'll do and sound like whatever you want. 100% delighted on this and all of the excellent reviews on Amazon, Youtube and other website are accurate!     • Good solid guitar except for one problem.

The guitar finish was flawless, the tuners smooth and did not slip. The compound neck was excellent and the frets perfectly finished. The contours on the body added a nice touch. The guitar arrived with good low action and the intonation was spot on for four strings and very close on two. Well, probably as close as you can get them with the saddles that are on this guitar so there was obviously room for an upgrade. PROBLEM: The guitar was not grounded which caused a loud hum on both my Blues Cube Stage and Fender Hot Rod deluxe. The hum would stop if I touched the control plate or bridge plate O- obvious grounding issue. Such an easy to solve (prevent) problem but the pups needed replacing anyway. I was thinking of Fender Vintage Tele pups if everything else was equal. However, I ended up returning guitar when I considered the quality control problem that was apparent might be indicative of other issues I'd find if I opened the guts. FOLLOW UP: Recently saw YouTube video for this model guitar with same humming problem. It seems there was no ground wire and the shielding paint in the cavities would rub off so wasn't really working. This is may be a hit or miss problem. ... show more
