Worth every penny because it plays exactly like a real Les Paul. The metallic gold color is flawless and it sounds great. I had to adjust the truss rod by tightening it just a little bit to lower the act, but after I did that, this guitar played great.

This Les Paul is awesome. Absolutely beautiful metallic gold finish. Looks just like a Gibson, you'd never know unless you saw the name on the headstock. Please see the attached pictures - I did replace the knobs and added pointer washers to them but you can see the original "speed" knobs in the third picture. Like someone else commented, the top strap peg came out very shortly after playing standing up, so I recommend you secure it with glue or something right away so the guitar doesn't fall unexpectedly. Overall this guitar is great. Excellent value for the price. Also I recommend putting on a fresh pair of strings. I put in PAF pickups and it sounds awesome. Playability is good. I really don't have any complaints about this guitar. I highly recommend this to any guitar player especially if you are interested in learning to play guitar and don't want to break the bank. ... show more

It had some fret buzz issues. Fixed it by adjusting the truss rod. Don't expect a flawless top, there are blemishes here/there. You'll need to figure out of you can live with them or if you'll return it. Frets were decent, no sharp edges on mine. Tuning machine heads were the first thing to go. They looked/felt small compared to other guitars I have. This isnt a Gibson, but it's a decent tool to learn on if you can get past the setup tinkering. Remember it's a $200 dollar guitar. I bought this guitar knowing that I was going to have to do a little bit of setup once I adjusted the neck and Polished the frets put on a new set of strings I found this guitar to be smooth playing I've been playing guitar all my life I love this guitar I just I can't believe it's so much like a real Les Paul it's a fantastic gift for anybody whether you're a beginner or a pro it plays beautifully the electronics is all solid just a really nice piece unbelievable for the price! ... show more

    • Rhythm pickup broken

Rhythm pickup had no volume. Treble pickup ok and middle selection is like treble. Appears to have a broken pickup at receipt. Returned item straight away. No sense in troubleshooting just to find out internal coils is at fault. I didn’t want to open the guitar covers to avoid a fault of my own. Action was a little high but is playable and without buzzing. The fret edges are sharp enough to scrape fingers and need polishing. Tuners work fine. The working pickup sounds fine. The bad pickup is disappointing. Looks are ok but not pristine. Light for a Les Paul. I kind of liked that it’s light weight. ... show more

I am not writing this review to complain about the company who made the product in question. This guitar was obviously bought and then returned cause of light shipping damage. The guitar could have been a bit better packaged to ship to be honest and fair. I had to change the strings, which was to be expected. I had to file the fret ends a tiny bit cause the fretboard dried out and the fret wires had perturbed a tiny bit on the ends. I had to oil the fretboard really good to prevent it from drying out and cracking. The tiny small cosmetic ding on the headstock and the strap button on the bottom are the worst part in fairness. But overall it is still in playable condition. I also had to adjust the neck pickup cause it was sunken into the guitar for whatever reason. I am still content with my purchase and what I paid for it. But someone could have at least took the time to replace a cheap plastic knob that was broke. However the strap bottom on the bottom, the screw got bent and it jammed the button into the wood of the guitar. So now I have to fill the hole with wood and glue then drill a new hole and find a screw that fits the strap button in order to actually be able to wear a strap and play it standing up. Again overall... despite its flaws... it is still a SOLID and decent "players" guitar. The electronics work fine. The pickups sound fine. It doesn't weigh as much as a cinder block and it has good resosnace and sustain. The guitar did show up sooner than expected. So I'm not complaining about anything. I just wanted to leave a honest and fair review. ... show more
