  • It's great, but DON'T follow one instruction during installation.
Color: Chrome
I had originally placed an order for a cheaper LUXE Bidet, but canceled it because I found that some of the reviewers complained about problems with its fit on certain commodes, specifically American Standard (which is the kind of commode I have), as well as problems with connection fittings. I subsequently looked at the descriptions for this, the LUXE Bidet NEO 185 Plus, and found it seemed to have solved the problems I was concerned about. I therefore ordered it. After it arrived I proceeded to install it according to the directions and everything went OK until after I made the cold water hose connection to the T-connector and went to connect the cold water hose to the bidet inlet. The bidet inlet connection is made of plastic and I thought I was being careful to not to cross thread it while making the hose connection, but it was hard to do so because of the stiffness of the metal-clad cold water hose and its angle coming from the T-connector. It turned out I DID cross thread the bidet connection, but thankfully not all the way in. I unscrewed it and tried again, this time with success and, as it turned out, the connection was water tight and didn't leak. On retrospect, it seems to me that the connection of the cold water hose to the plastic bidet inlet connection should be done first, BEFORE the connection to the T-adapter, because in doing so the cold water hose would be free of the constraint caused by the connection to the T-connector. Doing it that way, it would be easier to connect the hose to the plastic connection on the bidet and it would less likely result in the plastic bidet connection being cross threaded. One other thing. My toilet seat is quick release. When I installed the bidet, I simply partially unscrewed the nuts under the commode so I could raise the seat high enough to insert and position the bidet assembly, then tightened the nuts. I found that the seat hinges were putting pressure on the bidet assembly and, not wanting to crack the plastic, I made temporary bumpers to raise the seat. I also ordered a proper set of bumpers for the seat which I installed after I received them. There is now no problem with the seat. As for the bidet, it works great. I also like the fact that the bidet assembly can be raised up on its hinges for cleaning the commode rim. ... show more

  • Works great, with easy installation in my RV
Color: White
Installed on a Dometic 320 gravity flush toilet in my Jayco travel trailer. Looks great, works great. Wife REALLY appreciates it and it keeps almost all of the toilet paper out of my black tank and the septic system and so hopefully it will prevent problems with that. I've used other bidets from this company for my house and given them to friends. Never had a problem with any of them. I figure that I can expect it to last 5 years or more, and once you have it plumbed up all you have to do is turn off the water, undo the fitting at the bidet, hook a new one on and attach it under the seat. With this particular model it wouldn't take 5 minutes would require no tools and couldn't be easier. I got this particular model, because the controls sit closer to the toilet than most of them, and since it was going to go into a very tight space that's a big plus. Almost all the others that I looked at would not have fit due to space consideration, but this one fits and actually has a inch or more of clearance. Plus on this one the way it hooks up to the toilet seat allows you to easily clean it without removing the entire toilet seat and having to replace it, which is a big Plus in my book also. It would be nice if it had all the features my first bidet did like a heated seat self-heating water, and little LED night lights to light up the toilet bowl, but I didn't have any place to hook up the electric to it, and didn't really need all that for an RV anyway. From having used others like this one if you hook it up in a house the water temperature won't be a big problem anyway like it is in an RV in the winter time where it can get a bit brisk when the temperature drops below freezing! Overall this is a good unit especially for the price I paid $350 for my fancy electric model of several years ago and it lasted 8 years, which I figure was a good return on investment. At around 50 bucks if this one last 5 years and it should I figure I'll have gotten more than my money's worth. Actually since this thing's not going to be used all day everyday it should probably last the life of the trailer or even myself. If you've never used or had a bidet before join the rest of the civilized world quit using tons of expensive toilet paper, and enjoy the feeling of actually getting clean after the go. After all if you got poop smeared on your hand, would you wipe it off with a paper towel or wash it off? Lastly, the ladies REALLY appreciate these as an addition to the bathroom. As many people have said, you will actually be reluctant to do without it when not at home. Which is why I have given several as gifts to friends and family over the years. Enjoy. ... show more
