Can make it brighter or dimmer, warmer or cooler. Totally well balanced. FULLY adjustable. Stays exactly where I put it. I use it as a desk lamp (on my rolling standing desk) til its time to shoot a video and then I use it (with a diffuser) to light me up for the video. I am an author and spend hours a day at my desk. The ceiling light in my office is not sufficient and I had a pole lamp next to my desk that was too hot and the light never shown where I needed it. I purchased this light, despite the poor UX reviews, because I was sick of knocking over the ring light on my desk. I'm on WebEx calls all day, plus I my home office is in a room with very little light, so this product kills two birds with one stone...though the stone is awkward to pick up and hurl. On the plus side, the light in bright as heck...on the clearest/highest setting, it feels like I'm getting a sun tan. The color modes (warm or sterile) are perfect for what I'm using it for, and I like the adjustable brightness settings. The only negative is the function of the adjustment button, and the button locations themselves. I had to move the light (and re-arrange my desk) because the buttons are perplexingly in a spot that's very difficult to get to. I'm a bit baffled that a light that costs this much didn't come with a remote...or a more convenient button location. Additionally, to toggle between adjusting warmth or brightness, it's the same button... with a tiny light that tells you what you're adjusting. This light is near impossible to see...so you're really just winging it. Does it make the product worthless? No. Would it have been nice for someone to actually think this through? Yes. Overall, superb light...works great if it's in a spot on your desk where you can easily reach the buttons. ... show more

    • great lights to avoid that "witness protection" look for WFH setups
we all have that coworker who has embraced the work from home life, but doesn't understand backlighting and has set up their home work station with that giant picture window behind their head. They look like they are in the witness protection program on every zoom/teams/facetime/chime video call. This would be their ticket back into everyday society, if only someone would tell them. I dont set up in front of a window, but my home office area can be dark, so this light makes sure I am clearly visible in online meetings, and it works great - dimmable to give you the light you need without being too much and a even smooth illumination thanks to the edge lighting. great product, very happy I purchased. ... show more

This lamp provides me with what I was looking for a webcam light that I ca position above my monitor as well as a lamp that I can reposition, rather easily to be a study lamp to read my textbooks and when I am writing. I found the brightness to be okay for reading. I will state that it takes some time effort and patience to get the light to the proper brightness level, but it is not only two settings full bright or the lowest setting. Also, when I turned off my computer and turned it back on the next day the brightness setting was the same as I had set it the previous day. And the various pivot points and rotation capabilities provide a great deal of flexibility to position the light where you want it. Some patience is needed to play around where to place the lamp on your desk or table, so that the flexibility and access to the controls work for you. You just need to find the compromise position that maximizes those functions. I do believe that the Lamp is a little pricey, but the quality appears good, and I would buy it again knowing what I know now. ... show more
