This netted, two stack drying contraption looks awesome. The circular hoops that give it structure are surprisingly stout. Enough so, that you want to open it at arm's length or it will spring open and hit your face. I sew and considered this item well made. It should hold up in the wind. It has a solid cordura type top that looks like it'll repel rain, although not wind driven rain. I dehydrate a lot of herbs, but sometimes forget to unplug the dehydrator before leaving for the day. I look forward to trying this product using the sun. The small pruning shears were a surprise. They are spring loaded and will be easy on my arthritic hands. The steel blades look like they'll hold up for cutting herbs, but most likely not sturdy enough for twiggy shrubs. I'm glad I ordered it:) It will need to air out considerably tho. There is a chemical smell off gassing from the plastic netting and I don't want my herbs to absorb the smell. I also got this same company's heat mats for my seedlings. This thing is bigger than what I expected and have plenty of room! I’m using it in a 24x24x63 grow tent for drying. Good quality and looks really good. I’m still trying to figure out how to fold it back up and get it into the little bag. Other than that, it’s easy to setup and lightweight.

So this thing is as fun as a barrel of monkeys. Be careful once you get it out of the zipper bag, and take the straps off, because it's spring loaded (For bear) It will boiing right out of it's packing, scaring relatives and pets alike. It's a lot bigger than anticipated, and will hold a lot of things to dry. Seems very sturdy, and the S hook included is pretty stout. I did manage to get it back in the bag, but it took two days, three shots of vodka and a cheering section. The tiny little shears as an added gift are pretty cool, but I haven't used them yet. I bought this to dry my herbs in during the summer. I harvest herbs all through the summer and it is just way too hot to run the dehydrator in the house. Normally I've laid them on paper towels on plates, but, it is a pain when I have plates full of drying herbs sitting around the kitchen and the house. I love this. It really does serve it's purpose for me. I just wash my herbs and spread them on the compartments provided inside. It is huge and cumbersome, too big for me to have inside our home. The solution was to hang it up outside, which worked perfectly. I hung it from the rails on my deck. The herbs are protected inside so no bugs can get in. They dried quickly. The only complaint I have at all is it is hard for me to get the dried herbs out of it because of it's size. I have severe arthritis and reaching up hurts me. My son helps me. Overall I am very satisfied with having this and if you dry herbs or teas or anything light this will absolutely do the trick. It holds a lot which is good because I grow a lot. I do not know how it would work for heavier things, i.e. sliced vegetables. But, for leaves (like echinacea and mulberry leaves) it does amazing. It would work for any kind of herbs (i.e. oregano, mint, basil, etc). If you're looking for an electric free way to dry things from your garden I would highly recommend this. Also, it is now fall and I had issues closing it to store it, but, again my son helped me with that. Once it is folded you can easily slip it back into the carrying case for easy storage. ... show more

This is very large you could easily dry delicates flat on each layer. I think it is an excellent value for the money. Drying herbs, leaves, flowers, art projects you could just zip them up in a layer.

It easily folds flat for storage It holds a lot Each level (?) is easily accessible I live in the tropics so I'm a little worried about corrosion on the zippers but I'm watching them. Other zippers have already corroded in this time period.

    • Impossible to fold up

I opened this to check and make sure everything was ok with it, as I do anytime I order something. However, I have watched ALL the videos, even searched for something more helpful on YouTube and I have wasted the past hour trying to fold this thing back up to put it back in it's bag. It's impossible. The videos make it look so easy, but I'm missing something because it's not happening. So now, I have this giant bag to figure out where to store until Summer. I was looking forward to tucking the little bag away in my garden closet. Looks like it's going to be a nice drying rack and feels sturdy enough. After all the pulling, twisting and fighting with it, nothing bent or broke, so that's a plus. I'm just very unimpressed with the design for storage. ... show more
