I became a fan of Rexing when I bought my Rexing V1. Shortly after I bought it, I was involved in a serious random and unprovoked road rage attack that ended with me being assaulted with a deadly weapon. The entire incident was captured on my Rexing dash cam with audio, and thanks to that, the case against the attacker is sealed. In effect, Rexing prevented my attacker from getting away with his crime. After the incident, I decided to upgrade to the Rexing V1P Pro, which has a rear camera that records out the back window. This is helpful since so much happens behind your car too. Now what I LOVE about the Rexing V3 is that it has a dual camera that records INSIDE the car. This is perfect for Uber and Lyft drivers or anyone that does a shuttle service. Never worry about wrongful disputes with constant recording of the street in front of you and the cabin of the car. The media could not be loaded. I have owned the Rexing V1 for a while now and was quite happy with its performance. I was looking for another Dash Cam for my other car when I came across the Rexing V3. There were several things I was looking for in my second Dash Cam and I found most of them in the V3. First off, I was looking for a Dual camera Dash cam ( one that monitors the interior and the front of the vehicle) and this is one of the few Dual cams in the market. I also wanted to make sure that it could survive the desert environment since I live in the Southwest. This V3 came with Supercapacitor which makes it able to withstand the extreme heat in the desert unlike other lithium battery powered dash cams. Another attribute that I was looking for is the compact size and a bigger screen and the V3 fits the bill. The fact that this camera also has WiFi and I could watch the video on my iPhone is another big plus going for it. Now upon installation, I was able to use the Rexing Suction Cup that I previously used on the V1. Time will tell if this will hold up well in this hot environment. Here is one issue I encountered with the V3 which I am sure can be easily fixed with a firmware update. I am not sure though if the firmware can be updated via WiFi or thru the memory card. First, the date on the camera is not saved when I turned off the vehicle and it keeps reverting back to whatever default setting. This is odd because the time is saved and only the date is affected. Also, the manual could be improved. There are some settings that I am not sure how it affects the recording or the camera. A little information can help a lot. In the end, this camera is a keeper. Hopefully, some of the issues I brought up could be fixed soon. Update: I don’t know exactly what happened but it seems that the date issue has been resolved. Mine is working properly now and I haven’t updated the firmware. Update: After a year of use, I started having issues with the suction cup holder part of the camera. The suction cup part does not adhere to the windshield anymore. It appears that the plastic and rubber part of the cup is not flat anymore and I added a picture of that. Also, the rounded part where the camera attaches to is not holding the camera securely anymore. I have added a picture of that part as well. I have contacted the seller so I am waiting for a response on how this could be addressed. ... show more

    • Absolute must-have for Uber/Lyft/taxi!!

I occasionally drive for Uber and was in search of some sort of device that could record inside the car as well as having a dash cam. I considered buying one that had a normal rear-mount camera but when I found the Rexing V3 it pretty much fit the bill in every way. If you drive for Uber, Lyft, as a taxi or bus, this is an absolute must-have device! You get both front dash camera and in-cab camera, both 1080p high-definition. The video quality on both cameras is excellent. There is an infrared light setting for in the cab but it is noticeable, so you can turn it off and the quality still records quite well without it. The field of view or front and back is excellent. Even if you did not use it for Uber or a taxi etc, you could start your own version of ”Carpool Karaoke" with your passengers! This would also be great for a motorhome or any vehicle you would need a recorded view of the inside. One word of advice - do NOT format the card first as Rexing states. If you have a brand new card, just install it and it recordes perfectly fine. The app is handy to instantly pull videos off the memory card onto your phone. It automatically has a timestamp and GPS location as well, which is very useful. Bottom line...it is an excellent working dash cam and I will very strongly recommended to anybody who is an Uber/Lyft/taxi driver!! ... show more
