We bough this dash cam set from the merchant named "the Biuone Store" from Amazon on April 29, 2022, based on i) the needs to have a safety & tracking device for our young daughter's SUV; ii) 2652 verified reviews that rated them at 4.3 stars out of possible 5. Our acceptance criteria were: Costs, Functionalities, Engineering Excellence, Ease of Use, and Customer/Online Support. We have been very very pleased with our purchase: Cost: This Bioune set included 2 cameras for front and rear PLUS a 32 GB Micro SD Card! All for under $59 as compared to other, at least, 20 + cameras of equivalent functions available on Amazon that cost more. Functionalities: This camera set have all mission-critical functions such as Recording for both front & rear, Lock file, Play on demand, Looping processing, Motion Detection & Shock-activated Recording, Night Vision, HD photo & Video Quality (at very decent 1080P rating), Ability to set recording at Full time or Only-when-driving modes, 4 display options for front & rear cameras, PLUS all other standard functions like water proofing for the rear camera (have not tried to put the front to the water test yet as I mounted inside the vehicle for safety reason). Engineering Excellence: The front camera comes in at a very compact size in a very study PVC strengthened case with function buttons fully accessible with a slight touch. Electrical cable could be improved (our SUV is a long wheeled base one). But Customer Service Rep named Emma was so gracious and helpful! She gave us a free one to connect to the provided one that met our need. Otherwise, if you have an SUV like Land Cruiser, the one came with the set will be sufficient. Ease of Use: It did not take long for us to learn the camera set menu & buttons functionalities. After few iterations of operation sequences, we learned the camera logical pattern and use it with ease. Customer Support: We have not tried online so we can't rate this criteria. But we did contact the merchant and have been very satisfied with their support and focus attention. There is an assigned rep that worked with us from the beginning at point of purchase until we became satisfied after having received the extra free cable that they sent us from their home factory in China. Conclusion: While some may have different experiences, we are a happy customers and thought by sharing ours, folks can make decision for themselves in buying this dash camera set from this merchant Bioune Store. We are so glad that we have bough this set from this world-class merchant who went out of their way to delight their customers. I have been in two wrecks, neither my fault and this dash cam helped prove them both, as well as a cop who changed the speed he said I was going 3 different times. It is a little awkward to use when uploading the videos, but it's easy enough. Good quality, highly recommend.

Update: still working well... my one complaint, the sd card they provide is trash, took it out after a near accident and had a hell of a time getting my computer to read it. Ordered a new card, camera however works well, even at night. I just wanted something simple and cheap for that just in case moment. This fits the bill. Been using for a few weeks without any issues. I didn't care about the advanced features, apps or any of that nonsense that brings heavier prices. If you looking for inexpensive, straight forward and good enough video quality, then go this route. The media could not be loaded. The product was easy to install (& hide the wire — you can YouTube a video on it), works very well, and has good picture quality. I did not install the back camera yet because I mostly wanted a front camera to catch the many bad drivers almost causing accidents I encounter every day. Most interesting, the customer service from the seller is phenomenal. They answer questions quickly and are almost too kind?? Like I wanted to buy a new attachment because mine was broken by the people tinting my windows, and they just offered to send it to me. Good stuff.     • Great Option For the Money, One major issue

TL/DR: Great for the money, rear camera failed within 48hrs. With the availability of all of the different dash cameras in this price range, there are certainly many to chose from. This camera and software are fairly generic, and you can purchase essentially the same exact product under different brand names all over this website. Anyways, with that being said, you can't be expecting the absolute best quality for this price point, and at this price point the 1080 video is sufficient enough to save you from being blamed for an accident. The rear camera is not the greatest quality, but also sufficient to document a series of events to provide support for the other video. My camera was professionally installed and worked wonderfully. However, once I went to retrieve a video, with the camera off, I removed the SD card and popped it on into the computer - saved my video, deleted some un-needed video and popped it back into the camera - and that was the last time the rear camera ever worked. I have done everything from formatting the SD card, checking wiring, checking connections, resetting the camera manually, resetting the factory defaults, hell; even trying to use it in "reverse" camera mode (applying 12V to the red signal wire included in the rear camera wiring harness. Nothing wakes it up nor gets the main camera to "see" it. I'm 30 years old, have 12 years of experience as an automotive technician, and spend alot of free time taking photos and videos using drones...ie; I'd consider myself far from a beginner when it comes to using electronics such as this, and have installed cameras like this on many customer's vehicles. So I think it's fair to say I'm confident this is not a user error. - Even I cringe a bit when I hear that - but just trust me on this one! Unplugging the SD card and retrieving video from it did something to disable the rear camera. Possibly a software issue? An SD card issue? Regardless, this camera is still in fact worth the price even without the rear camera. Sure would be nice if I didnt spent all that time installing the wiring for the rear camera for it to die 48 hours later lol. ... show more
