The lamps are actually nicer quality than I expected for the money. Two way switches are solid and are large and easy to operate. The lamps themselves are well-made solid and heavy. If you like the way they look in the photos, you will like the lamps. The only downside is you have to "assemble" the shades. I thought when I first looked at them that they would be very difficult to assemble and not look very good. But actually they went together better than I expected and don't look any different than a pre-made shade. They snap together in only a few minutes. I only needed one, but I was attracted to this style, which is a bit difficult to find, so I got the pair. It’s beautiful. Some reviewers complained about the night light replacement. When I was checking it out on Amazon, there was a video available that showed how to change that small bulb. It looks easy but I have not had to change it yet. This lamp give off beautiful light and the nightlight gives a very soothing ambience to your room wherever you have it located. It does not look or feel cheaply made in the slightest. An excellent gift to yourself or others. By the way, you do need to roll out the fabric for the lampshade. A very new concept but it was SO simple to do. A friend of mine with a similar new lamp opted to purchase a ready made shade than take a chance on failure, but I personally had no difficulty with that and I am 81 years old.
