I absolutely love this topper. My husband and I are older and find that we need something a little softer to sleep on. Our daughter bought a vacation home and provided us a mattress, but it was just too hard to sleep on. So after looking at so many online we decided to purchase the lucid 3 inch topper. I cannot tell you the difference it made. It is soft, yet molds to your body giving support where needed. It is not too heavy that you cannot handle it. We woke up without body stiffness. Well my mom came to me and asked one visit if I could find her a good 4 inch mattress topper for 150.00 or less and since a latex topper was out of the question due to her budget, I immediately thought of Lucid. I don’t actually have a Lucid topper, I have a different brand but when I was searching for my own topper a few years back, I almost went with Lucid because they have a metric ton of reviews and their rating is high and very few of them are negative giving how many purchases there have been. Well let me tell you, I’ve been hearing about this topper every morning for two days. My mom set it up on her bed to let it inflate and expand in the morning and she called me to tell me that half the day later it looked great. She ended up sleeping on it that night and she called raving the next morning to tell me how much she loved it and that she’s never slept better and that she should have ordered one years ago. She said she absolutely I didn’t want to get out of bed and that she couldn’t wait to go back to bed. Well she just called me again this morning, morning too, and you know what she said? “They’re right you really should wait a full 24 hours before sleeping on it. Then she began to tell me how how there is something about this mattress topper. She just can’t explain it, can’t put into words and that night two was even BETTER than night one. “Thank you thank thank you you are the best daughter EVER!!” “You knew exactly what to get me, this is perfect!!” “It”’s so soft and so supportive, it is such a dream!!” Seriously she’s been raving about this topper so much that I absolutely plan on ordering another one for myself lol. Oh let me clarify her mattress situation. She had a mattress that she had put in storage probably 10 years ago. She barely used it. Well she has been using the mattress for a few years and had gotten a topper for a different mattress maybe 5 or 6 years ago. When she moved she brought out the old barely used mattress and was using the topper she had been using but that topper finally broke down and had a dip in it. Her mattress may be fairly unused but it’s old. Kind of like buying a basic smartphone with chintzy features. Sure the device might be brand new but the tech inside is from the electronic Stone Age. That’s her mattress. In the world of mattresses, it’s old tech LOL. This topper and a mattress cover I got to go with, brought that mattress into 2022. She absolutely adores it, so much so that I will be getting one to put on top of my mattress even though I have a 3 inch latex mattress topper. I want to experience “THE DREAM” my mom has been raving about for two days. So not only do I recommend it to you, I recommend it to myself! Just be sure to lay it out and give it a full 24 hours to rise. It was completely inflated within 2 hours for me, which by other reviews, seems like a gamble. The density is medium to high. My last one, (which was old, ripped, and in a mold situation so trashed, also not this company), was a lot denser, and you can tell by the weight. That one was extremely heavy. This one is about as 75% heavy as that one. Smell is normal, not too bad. When sitting in it, I sink more than I would like, but it's so close to perfection and for an amazing price that I absolutely recommend it, especially for anyone trying to get one on a tight budget. Other reviewers on various toppers think some of them are stored too long and that causes re-inflation issues. I am located in Southern California, so the turnover for product is probably high. Consider that before purchase! edit after 1 week: it would probably be better at 6" thick, if you have a booty and lay on your back, or wide hips and on your side, your lowest point will touch the bottom slightly, but its not super bad. Still good for the price, might buy two and layer them when I can, or put just one on a memory foam futon mattress like I have done before. edit after almost 4 months: it's cracking when pressed, the worst is where my feet are, which sees the least pressure. That location is actually flaking off. Still comfortable, but now getting bits everywhere without a cover. ... show more

I've always loved Lucid products. I use to have the 2 inch bed topper and upgraded to the 4 inch which may be to much softness for me. But I am 270lb. The thickness you really sink into but I'm a side sleeper who sleeps on 2 pillows which made it awkward for my head/lower back. But I really need the softness to relieve pains in my joints from the pressure of a firm bed. Not sure if I'm keeping this, I'll give it a few nights and go down to 1 pillow instead and see how that goes. My 19 yr old 175lb son loves it so I'll most likely give it to him and buy the 2 inch one again. Either way they are really amazing and dont cause me to sweat during my sleep. I also have their pillows which I love and they keep their fluffiness and shape. I've had the same pillows 2 years now. Give them a try you wont be disappointed! ... show more
