So far I would give this 5 stars but I'm taking away one star due to installation problems. I spent a couple of hours troubleshooting small leaks at the hookup to the water supply. I finally took the flex-hose and adapter provided to connect to the water supply valve to Lowe's. The employee in the plumbing section confirmed that the type of washer and connector are not very good and are prone to leak. I was able to buy a single hose (no adapter needed) for under $10 to connect the seat to the main water supply. No more leaks! I just wish that the manufacturer would spend a little more money on a quality connection hose. Once installed the seat works great so far. There is plenty of water pressure and the nozzle has plenty of range for adjustment. ... show more

First of all, the constipation feature does absolutely 1000% nothing. Everything they say about it is a complete lie. It simply cannot do what they claim. Its other features are lacking too. The remote feels like a giant brick toy. The water pressure is inadequate. And the dryer is borderline useless. I’ve let it run for as long as 9 minutes and I still had to use toilet paper to finish the drying. Oh and the lid is super flimsy. If you try to lean back, it snaps out. Bottom line, this is a horrible bidet and it’s going back. Certainly not even remotely worth the premium price. ... show more

If you're wondering if the Purestream wash does what you think it does, it does (at least when at the highest power setting). Due to some health issues, an enema funtion was important to me, and one of the main reasons I wanted a bidet seat about 5 years ago. I first tried another that recived high ratings for its "turbo wash". But apparently I am a tough nut to crack, and it was only strong enough to work occassionally - if I was somehow super-relaxed and found just the right position. Even then, barely any water would be introduced. So I chalked up using a bidet for an on demand enema as a failed experiment. However, my wife and I came to enjoy the bidet for its normal intended functions, so I sought to replace it. When I searched again for recommendations for bidets with an effective enema function, most recommended models by Bio Bidet. However, I noticed most of those articles were on sites that specialized in selling bidets and only carried Bio Bidet and a couple of other manufacturers. Reviews from users were mixed at best. To be clear, I never tried a Bio Bidet model, so I am not personally knocking them. I did, however find a few datapoints suggesting that Lotus' Purestream wash (at least in the model I bought) was the most powerful enema funtion on the market. Since the features and price were comparable to the Bio Bidet, and I did not find any user reviews offering dissenting opinions on the enema function, I went with it, and I'm very glad I did. So, that's what sets it apart from the crowd. Otherwise, you kind of get what you pay gor when it comes to bidet seats. All of the electronic models have about the same degree of difficulty when it comes to installation, and all the manufacturers have a similar range of models with a similar menu if features as the price goes up. If I try to find something to complain about, thr only LED lighting on the seat I bought is a white LED panel to run the basic bidet functions without the remote. It's located on the side of the seat and kind of spotlights the supply hose and (in my case) the power cord / outlet. Just aesthetically, I'd rather the mechanics be more hidden from view. The last bidet seat I owned had softer blue LED lights which lit up the bowl. While both serve the purpose of not having to turn on the overhead light for bathroom trips, which is nice, my old seat looked much much nicer in a dark room. ... show more

Love, Love, Love! Will never do without a toilet seat like this for as long as I live! If you have problems with constipation you won’t have them anymore. The direct stream option is only available at this price point but is definitely worth the money. If you think this is expensive, consider what you may spend on laxatives, suppositories, etc. You won’t be needing them any longer. Not to mention the discomfort. Would make a great gift for elderly parents who may have an issue in this department. I had a pretty poor experience living with the BioBidet BB-1000--lots if repairs, poor quality etc. so I finally tossed it and bought this as a replacement. Come to discover it is exactly the clone of the other one but for a couple hundred bucks more. Already installed it so can't return it but I feel burned because this one is flimsy too. The BioBidet remote works with the Lotus unit perfectly and is better. I expect this unit will die in 3 or 4 years too after I replace the seat and cover parts a few times. Save your money. Pass on this one and look for something better than this or the BioBidet. The biggest weakness of both is the very low quality plastic shell, seat snd lid. ... show more
