Description

Versatile, four-drawer lateral file is part of Lorell Essentials Series Laminate Furniture with high-quality laminate construction and a contemporary design. Innovative design includes two box drawers to store supplies, a file drawer next to the box drawers and a lateral file as the bottom drawer. Both file drawers accommodate letter-size and legal-size files with included hangrails. Drawers roll smoothly on steel ball-bearings with full extension. The top box and file drawer lock for security. Mahogany laminate top and side panels are 1" thick for durability. Design also includes 3mm PVC edges and adjustable levelers for stabilization.

As far as the file goes, yes it is very sturdy and looks very good in an office. Doesn't have a cheap look about it, it is made very well and is solid. It also has 4 extra keys that come with it. All 4 open the 2 locks. My only reason for taking away a star from the overall rating is that if you order from this company and they have it shipped to you, you won't know til after the fact that if you want the shipping company to bring it inside the building, you have to pay an extra fee for that or they will leave it curbside. I did not know about this when I ordered it as it was not included in what I paid. I found out when the company selling it called me after the fact and told me it would be an extra $167 to bring it from the truck inside the building, otherwise they are to drop it off and you find the best way to get it where it needs to go. This file is approximately 175 lbs. Just something to consider when purchasing. As far as the file goes, yes I would recommend it. ... show more

Very sturdy, beautiful cabinet. However, the lock that controls the two large file drawers broke less than 6 months of owning. I had to work hard to get the lock to open without destroying the entire mechanism. I did get the drawer open without damage to the cabinet but the metal parts inside that lock the cabinet are all loose and/or broken. The Lorell company representative was nice and they are sending a new lock. However, I either have to put it on myself (probably not a good idea) or pay someone to install it for me.
