The Prius is notorious for not providing a good anchor point for a cell phone mount. This not only works great in the Prius, it's adjustable arm allows you to position the phone in a location that doesn't block key indicator lights on the Prius' centrally-located display. Very easy to install, remove, and provides a sturdy mount for cell phones of any size. Landscape or portrait position, easy access to the charging port, and very easy to get the phone into and out of the mount.     • Nice and sturdy
So far the mount has been solid and good. It is easy to use but the one difficulty is to move it around if you need to. I find it a little cumbersome with all the pivot points and knobs to turn and adjust. But once it is set the thing is solid.

The phone mount is sturdy, but you have to close the screws tightly to ensure that the positioning doesn't shift. I first tried it in the up position, like in the portrait product image, but it blocked too much windshield for my liking. I ended up positioning it so that the arm folded back on itself to approximately where it would be if there was no arm. It works fine and holds the phone well and releases easy, but because of the folding back, more of my vent is blocked. I think I might have been better with a straight-up vent mount, but maybe there is a need to be able to move the phone to other positions - I just haven't found one yet. Maybe if I need to use it for landscape view it would be a better fit. ... show more

I love this holder. I placed it on my vent and lower which works really well for me because it is out of the way but still easy to see when I need it. It is very steady, you tighten it exactly in the position you want. Its super easy to instal, and move around if needed. My huband adjusts it when he drives my car because he likes it up higher. Super easy transition! We have tried all sorts of holders, especially those suction cup holders are horrible and never hold up. took me awhile to screw & unscrew it in multiple places to get set up how i wanted it. but once u figure that part out it's sturdy. initially it's hard to spread the phone holder part open too, but once u get that open it stays that size. if it wasn't as difficult to figure out, i'd give more stars. more sturdy than stick on the dash/windshield type of holders. once u figure it out it's easier to move it around if u want. if it broke or i got an additional car, i would buy another 1. ... show more

For many years, I'd been using a similar item with a wedge-type vent mount that finally stretched out and became unusable. When searching for a replacement, I wanted to try one with a different type of mount and I looked at many brands/types of holders. This one seemed to be the best item for the price ($8.99 at the time). So far, I'm very happy with it. I got it in a timely manner, and it was exactly as advertised. I had no problems attaching the hook to the vent fin and securing it. I use it for a GPS, and since the holder is designed to stand out away from the vent a bit, my device is easier to see than previously and details are easier to read. It wobbles, occasionally, but the holder's not loose, at all, and it doesn't affect my ability to read the device. The frame is barely just big enough to hold my GPS, but so far that hasn't been a problem. The device slides into the frame easily, locks securely, and stays put. The holder pops open at the touch of a button on the back, and the device can be removed easily, without issue. ... show more

This is relatively easy to install and has a few adjustment points so you can customize its location. I've tried it in numerous spots in my car and finally found my preference after a few tries.
