I use my trail cam to monitor rabbit activity around my backyard landscape plants. Several are nearly dead because of rabbit damage. I sprayed this repellant around the entry point to the back yard and on each of the plants that showed obvious feeding damage. So far, I have not had a single rabbit sighting since the application. I will let you know that the odor of this when applying is strong and unpleasant (even my neighbor ask me what stunk so bad!). The good news is that once it dries, the odor dissipates (at least to human sense of smell). My big issue is finding a place to store the spray bottle, as the odor lingers around it. For now, it is outside on the back porch. The bottle is too big to fit into a gallon size zipper bag, so I'll keep looking for a containment method. I will continue to monitor the camera and the condition of the plants to see if this works long term. I plan on reapplying every two weeks or so. If any of that changes, I'll update this review. 5 STARS AND I DO RECOMMEND THIS ITEM I write honest reviews based on real life experience with each item to help others make informed purchases. I have gone through about 4 of these bottles this year. You have to keep spraying, especially after a rain. You have to be careful which way the wind is blowing or you will wind up smelling like rotten eggs.

This is the only stuff I have found that keeps the deer away. Don’t be afraid to spray on plant I found no damage when doing. Also you can slightly dilute for more coverage

Yes it smells, but definetly keeps the bunnies out of the yard. Highly recommend this product! I was sad that when I opened the first box the seal was broken and half of the product was missing out of its container. Luckily, the shipper replaced the product for a new one at no charge.

Since I used this spray with Bonide granules also in our flowerbeds, I cannot say for sure how it worked there; however, I did spray it on some leftover, unplanted flowers without granules. It seemed to keep the deer away until it rained. The big problem with this product was that the nozzle kept malfunctioning, requiring me to adjust it repeatedly. Eventually, the nozzle broke. I had a problem, the animals were eating more out of the garden than I was. This works, the problem solved now I can have fresh vegetables. I purchased both the smaller ready to use spray bottle, and then later, the larger ready to use container with a spray head on a coiled cord. This product works very well as long as you follow the directions. Be careful of getting it on your clothing or your hands as it smells absolutely horrible. I suggest you wear rubber gloves, and test which direction the wind is blowing BEFORE you start using it. Start with your first plant and spray it downwind, going backwards away from the plants. Always follow the directions for putting it on, and especially pay attention to putting it on after it rains. This product and Miraclegro are responsible for saving $300 worth of hydrangeas that had been decimated by the local deer population. I purchased and planted the hydrangeas this summer, and if it hadn’t been for this product and the Miraclegro, I would’ve lost all of them. Now, the reason for two stars. As I indicate in the title has nothing to do with the product. I originally purchased the small spray bottle to try it out. As I have a lot of hydrangeas, it didn’t last that long. But it worked. So after checking that I’d get at least a year of shelflife out of this product, I decided to buy the bigger more cost-effective version, and store it in my stairwell inside the house so that it is not subject to temperature fluctuations. I have it bagged It in two 2-Gallon Ziploc bags and I have put it in the stairwell to my basement that is between my garage and my foyer. The reason for the bad review is the packaging, or lack there of. This item was shipped along with several other items, namely, a few pretty scarves I bought for the winter and some bars of artisan soap. The box was damaged and apparently had been thrown around. It was over taped to hide this. I personally witnessed the Amazon delivery, put it on my front porch bench, and he did the best he could, although it was overly heavy due to too much being in the box. Due to the box having been damaged, I was not surprised at the condition of this product. The container had been bent in on three corners at the bottom. It was laying on its side amongst all the other products, and it had no protective plastic wrap around it. This thing was dangerously close to having sprung a leak. If it had, not only would the contents of everything else in the box been ruined, but I would’ve had to deal with an incredibly smelly – and a difficult to remove smell at that – all over the box, the inside of the box, the products inside of it, EVERYTHING. I would’ve had to return everything and I don’t know how I could’ve done that given the smell. I’m not at all sure that UPS would’ve taken these return packages with that kind of an odor leaking out of it. Bottom line is I got very lucky. All I can suggest to you is to order this item by itself, both when you have no other orders in the wind, and do not place any other orders until you get it. That is the only way to ensure it will be shipped by itself in its own box. And as far as Amazon itself goes, you should be shipping this inside a Ziploc bag that fits around the whole product and closes securely. It is absolutely ridiculous the way you shipped this to me. When I think about what could’ve gone wrong, I just don’t know what I would’ve done to solve it. If you want to try the product, I suggest that you do like I did and get the smaller spray bottle that’s ready to use first. Have Rubber gloves on hand, and follow the directions. Then, if you like the product, do what I suggested up there about ordering it so that it comes by itself. Otherwise, it’s great stuff, as long as you store properly and watch what you’re doing when you use it. Follow the directions as to how to use it. I am lazy about the rubber gloves, so I almost always get a little bit of it on my hands when I use it, which isn’t a big deal. Platinum Dawn really cleans it from skin! ... show more
