The underside of my truck use to be Rabbit Headquarters. They would hang out there most of the day. Occasionally, for a change of scene, they would crawl up into the engine and sit of top of the ignition wires. When they got bored, they would have a chew on a wire or a vacuum line (taking out my ignition or 4-wheel drive). My ignition wires were the rabbits' spaghetti. I first tried a variety of folk remedies, such as mint spray, Irish Spring soap, and dryer sheets. No effect. One product, Fresh Cab, the rabbits liked so much they ate it. Then I started using Liquid Fence. Once a month, I spray it on the underside of the engine hood (not directly on the engine because it makes a mess), and underneath the engine, especially on and around the vacuum lines and wires. I also spray a liberal amount on the driveway surface where I park the truck. No more sign of rabbits under the truck or in the engine. Rabbit Headquarters has been closed. I did have one vacuum line breach during the last few years, so Liquid Fence might not be 100% effective. Also, I was still getting mice in the engine, but wiring two mouse traps to the engine took care of that problem.     • Works well but a few small issues…

I’ve used several sizes of this product. The first time I ordered the 128oz. I’m not sure if I got an old batch or a bad batch but I had issues with it clogging my 1gal pump sprayer. I would only be able to use about 3/4 of the mix before it clogged so badly it wouldn’t spray and I had to clean it out. I tried the 40 oz and had the same issue although not as bad. I was able to use the entire batch and just occasionally shake the sprayer to mix it up. I tried the 32oz and it worked perfectly. Not sure if it’s a freshness issue. It contains putrefied eggs which seem like they could create particles. Or maybe the larger versions sit longer and it’s an aging issue. Who knows. Just sharing my experience. The product itself works well. Hungary deer will eat anything but this has kept them away from most of my plants. I have some nandinas that got eaten but they catch spray from the lawn sprinklers and I think it gets washed off. I have nandinas in other places that don’t have that issue that are untouched. Knocked the star rating down a bit for what I believe might be some quality control issues (and wasted product), but the it works and I give it 5 stars from that perspective. ... show more

    • Keeps Deer and Rabbits AWAY!

I have tried several deer and rabbit repellents and this by FAR is the best product I have purchased. It really works. It is expensive, requires repeated applications after it rains, and it attracts dogs like crazy. Our landscaping was constantly being chomped down by both rabbits and deer enjoying their free "salad bar" fix daily. After the first application that ceased abruptly. The odor is strong but fades after a day. Please do NOT get any of this on your shoes while spraying...the smell will not come out of a sneaker unless you hose it down. We have dedicated old sneakers we use while spraying and leave those sneakers in the garage. The attraction of this product to dogs is a tad annoying. Dogs love this stuff, roll around in it, mark their territory and come back time after time to do so. We do not have any dogs, so if you do...be aware this might be the case for you. Still it is worth it as without this product my landscaping would have been chomped down to the ground! You must be vigilant and re-apply after any significant rain to achieve optimal results. We also felt it imperative to apply this more often than needed in the early days of using this product hoping it would "train" the deer and rabbits to stay clear of our property. That really worked. It is quite entertaining and funny to see the deer slowly saunter off to my neighbor's yard after standing far away from our plants without a single chomp. This is the first year in a very long time I have seen my variegated Liriope growing in winter (a favorite of both deer and rabbits) which would have been totally eaten to the roots by now without this spray. Both deer and rabbits are very plentiful in my neighborhood. I waited 2 months before writing this review to be sure it is still working to keep the deer and rabbits away! It DOES! ON another note, I am trying the Granular version of this product along with this concentrate hoping to easy the need for repeated liquid applications. I have a real Deer problem. And I mean, problem. 23 in yard just the other night and this is normal, and they eat everything. The spray works, if you can keep flowers sprayed. EX: can't spray when it rains it wind is blowing so the deer continue to eat. You spray, it rains, then you have to spray again as not very rain tolerant ... show more

This stuff is very strong. Smells like swamp butt times 100. So far it seems to be working. I don’t see any more rabbits under my deck. Heck, I won’t go anywhere near it either. Time will tell.

wow this liquid stinks big times. the rabbits kept eating flowers and ornamental grass. sprayed this once every 3-5 days at the beginning made it better. its about 75% effective.

Use as directed and it works, you have to apply as stated 3 times then the deer stop eating your flowers for the rest of the year. They learn they taste bad and font bother anymore

Tried all sorts of things to repel deer. Nothing worked until I found Liquid Fence. It's expensive and smell when applied but it does work. Needs to be reapplied every 1-2 weeks based on weather and the amount of deer in your area. Easy to apply if you have a 1 gallon sprayer.
