We have a corner in our kitchen where we put our recyclables. A big basket for paper, and a heavy duty plastic trash can for bottles, but we were just putting plastic bags on the floor in a heap for the cans and the plastic bottles that we return for cash. So this pair of bin bags was just what we needed. The size is perfect for the 13 gallon trash bags we already use, and they take up exactly the right amount of space, making that corner look so much neater and better organized than it’s ever been. The neutral colors and design are also very attractive. I did remove one star, however, because although they work they are a bit on the flimsy side, and there could be an issue with them standing upright all the time even though they do come with a removable firm bottom. Also I am not using them for the heavy bottles, only for the lightweight cans and plastic for this reason. I think for this price they should be sturdier or else the price should be better. ... show more

We have four daughters and year after year my husband decides to invite a small army of children over for our kid’s birthday parties. Inevitably there is a lot of waste and recycling produced. I love having these extra recycling receptacles around so people can find an opportunity to reduce, reuse, and recycle. I have described myself on more than one occasion as a militant recycler. I love that these bags are made out of recycled plastic, I assume, and that they are reusable. I have another such receptacle at one point but unfortunately I think my husband tossed the whole bag. There are two bags in this pack. The handles are also handy so that you can pick up the entire bag and dump the contents in the recycling. Given that it is plastic, should it get dirty all you need to do is rinse it out with a hose and let it dry before folding it back up to be reused in the future. We also have a vacation rental property and there is no curbside recycling in the tiny little town, so we have to collect our recycling and drive it over to the next town township building. These would also work beautifully for that purpose, since I am usually struggling to find an extra shopping bag to contain all of the recycling we produce. These will be my dedicated Recycling Bags for home parties and gatherings. I'm usually making little paper signs that say "Recycling" on my regular bins... these will save me a step. These a durable enough to rinse off after use and fold up for storage. The instructions suggests folding the top lip of the bag to keep it upright, and it does actually help, but it did not feel like it was designed to be folded that way. I wish this bag came in a bright green color to signify it was for Recycling ♻️... maybe they can consider that option soon. ... show more

These bags are ideal for adding next to large wastebaskets at a desk in an office, in a kitchen, or in a teenager's room. Easy to grab and go, wipe down, and return to their spot. These are generally okay, but they are much thinner material than I expected since they were advertised as "heavy duty" and "sturdy". The handles are very thin also, and I really don't think they will hold up well over time or when filled with heavier things like cans. Not impressed.

These bags really didn't impress when received. The build quality and feel are very familiar to reusable shopping bags, but probably at medium strength. I don't really have much space to have a dedicated trash can for recyclables, so this product works for me, but it leaves a lot to wish for. The bottom base just has a cardboard cutout to give the bag a flat bottom to self stand. It holds about 150% a typical grocery bag holds; so again, it doesn't really provide much utility outside of things that already are common items. These would probably work better as a recycle bag for a large SUV than to have at home in my honest opinion. ... show more

on the plus side, these are just a bit bigger than a whole foods paper bag ... but still fit nicely in a standard cabinet size space. We tuck ours behind our excess coffee accessories. I am not quite sure what the instructions are alluding to or what the listing means -- in terms of what folds down to keep this open/upright. Even with the cardboard base, the bag still kinda sags inward. That base, though is wrapped in plastic, which is great given that bottles and cans always leak. And, I like the idea of having two as one will inevitably get gross and sludgy enough to toss in the actual garbage. But, just not sure these are worth 7 or 8 bucks, as they are kinda just like any bag you'd buy from the grocery store or any store -- but a smidge larger and maybe more durable than those reusable, nylon bags, which usually cost 3 or 4 bucks. ... show more

These are nice sturdy bags. I was looking for something bigger than just a kitchen trash can and this bag fits more than your standard kitchen trash. I line it with a compost bag so I can just put the whole bag and contents in the recycle bin. I like there are two in the package.
