When I acquired this hose, my intentions were to use it for lawn watering. We use a rain-bird style tripod sprinkler. The included valve helps with set up and take down. The vibrant green color blends right in to our sod's coloring. It is not as heavy as a rubber hose but more difficult to handle than the pocket type hoses. I did notice that when unrolling the coils it did fold on itself and kink a bit. Once water pressure is applied, it straightened right out. This is a very nice bright green 25 ft garden hose. The bright color makes it easier to find among other hoses. It feels quite solid and comes with its own turnoff valve – one of my favorite things! Unfortunately, the toggle on this turnoff valve is frozen solid. I'll have my husband either manhandle it into submission or we'll just replace it. The 5/8 inch hose has two metal 3/4 inch threaded ends. The hose says it is kink free – which in my experience means maybe it’s some better, but we won’t find out until it gets really hot out – that’s when most of the hoses start to tangle since they are more flexible. This hose says it is rated for use between -40 degrees F and 158 degrees F. It should work well year round. Most importantly, the hose is rated as safe for drinking/potable water. I’ve already marked it on each end so I can remember which hose is for potable water. A friend stores an RV on our property and we use it as a guest house when folks come to visit. This hose will hookup to the water to run drinking and cooking quality water over to the RV. ... show more
