I LOVE this hose! Up until now, a "quality" hose to me meant a nice thick and long rubber hose that won't kink and will last a lifetime of abuse. I have one of those. The thing weighs about 1,000 pounds and coiling it up is like wrestling an alligator! Sure, it's durable, but it's a pain to actually use. Enter this hose. The entire thing feels like it weighs about a pound. It's soft to the touch and easy on the hands (so much so, it almost felt like something I shouldn't be using outside). Getting it out and putting it away are a breeze. This is the hose I've been missing all my life. Another nice feature is the valve at the end of the hose! Now I can put attachments on or take them off without running all the way back to the faucet to turn it off and on. We had it out while we were having a fire for s'mores in the backyard, and it was nice knowing it would only take about two seconds for me to grab the hose and turn it on if something was on fire that shouldn't be. Plus, I could turn it on just a little to wash off sticky s'more hands, all without even having an attachment on the end. I love this hose. One thing that's a blessing and a curse is that the hose stretches out to reach its full length. This makes it really nice for coiling after use because it's so small and light, it's more like putting away 25 feet of string than a 75 foot hose. However, when you want to reach the full 75 feet, you end up in a tug-of-war against the faucet. I didn't measure, but it seems like the full 75 feet is hard to actually reach, especially if you don't want to be yanking on the faucet connection the whole time. But it easily reached farther than my 50' rubber hose. I'd call this an easily usable 60' hose, with the option to pull it an extra 15' in a pinch. For how easy this thing is to use, I love it. Best hose I've ever owned. Check the date to see how durable the hose is. I've had it since 7/15/2024 with no durability issues, and I'll update my review as soon as I have any problems with the hose wearing out. ... show more

    • As good as any "normal" hose, but much easier to store
Right out of the box, this hose is very loose and floppy. It doesn’t seem like a normal hose and that’s a good thing - it’s not. Without water in it, this hose packs away to nothing. When you turn on the water, it expands to its full length and is ready for whatever nozzles and sprinklers you want. As a bonus, you can switch off the water right at the business end of the hose. You don’t need to run back and forth to the faucet to control the water. The fittings are brass so they should last for the life of the hose. At first, my hose leaked like crazy at the faucet connection. I added an additional rubber O-ring to the connection and the leak stopped dead. I think it was more of a problem with my faucet than the hose. Buy it - you’ll like it. ... show more

This expandable garden hose has a durable, soft, elastic nylon casing around a latex tube. It is lightweight and extra flexible which makes it easier to use and nearly impossible to kink, even when storing. I like how much less space it takes up in my storage box after it collapses back to original size. The brass fittings at each end are high quality and are easy to screw onto the spigot. The male end has a stainless steel ball valve that smoothly and fully closes off the flow of water when closed. My last photo is to show that the diameter of the water tubing is indeed smaller than a standard 3/4" hose. This means the water out of this hose has higher pressure, but at a lower flow rate than a standard hose. I'm fine with this, as it means my sprayer reaches further into the garden when attached to this hose. My impression is that the materials on this hose are durable enough that it should last a long time despite the expandable feature. Time will tell, but I am quite happy with it for now. ... show more

    • A Must Have For Every Household
If you don't have one of these hoses in your home then you are missing out. These are so easy to handle and use. They don't weigh nearly as much as a traditional hose and they never kink. No messing with a winder or trying to coil it up like your old green rubber hose. I just toss mine in a 5 gallon bucket when finished. The shut off valve is very handy so you don't have to make an extra trip to the faucet to turn it on and off. I have a similar hose that I purchased years ago that isn't as long and cost twice the price. These are a great value. These are a great value ... show more

    • Call me a skeptic no more. This thing works.
The media could not be loaded. Who hasn't seen the ads for expanding hoses like this. I certainly have, and I've long been quite the skeptic. No way it could possible expand as much as claimed. But I finally decided to give one a try as a -- hopefully -- way to simplify unwinding and re-winding a regular garden hose for watering several plants in the back yard. It comes bundled up loosely in a small box, with it somewhat corralled by a rubber band. Out of the box it's probably the 25 feet claimed. But, I hooked it up to a faucet and turned on the water, and it sure enough started expanding, and getting longer, and longer, and longer. Until it was plenty long enough to reach across the pool to water some flowering shrubs, and with enough length leftover to drape itself across the bottom of the pool. Didn't measure it, but I'll buy the 75 foot claim for sure. The expanding (and contracting once the water is off and pressure drained off reminds me of a cross between those kids' straws that have the expanding and collapsing upper joint, and an enormous reptile that's slithering around and eating something. Just remarkable. It has pretty nice and heavy duty brass ends -- one male and one female -- and a ball valve on the discharge end to shut off the water flow.     • Good quality hose
Got this to replace a similar 100' hose that had a tear. It came jumbled up in a box with a rubberband around it, no packaging or paperwork so it was questionable. Hooked it up and it works great! My old hose had plastic connections and this one has brass which is better. Wish this was 100' but this 75' hose with brass fitting works well for me. Definitely recommend. ... show more
