Got for my father. Great to help him keep his phone right by his bed and easy to find. He uses it to get in and out of bed more easily. Admittedly he doesn’t put a lot of weight on it as he is fairly agile and only weighs 150 lbs.

I bought this to use on our bed that has an adjustable bed frame (head and foot). I located just forward of the movable head section, so it is stationary. The product is pretty stable when the mattress is flat, but due to the thickness of the mattress when the head is raised all the way up one side of the railing is no longer trapped by the mattress causing the railing to move enough that my wife does not feel comfortable using it to assist her in getting out of bed. The straps are of little use because of the construction of the bed frame will not allow the straps to be fully tightened. The handle bar is nice and sturdy but the clamp to tighten the strap to the bed is plastic. Ours broke upon first installation! I will ask the company if they will send me a new strap.
