  • Stylish little powerhouse
Color: Gold Pattern Name: Heater
We’ve really enjoyed this. I got style points from the wife on my pick. It’s small, light, stable and stylish. It puts out a lot of heat and I like the oscillating function. Adjustable for fan speed, temp and run-time and the controls are easy to use. It’s virtually silent. Overall, very pleased with it and it was a good value ... show more

  • Bought one for us, then a bunch for family.
Color: Beige Pattern Name: Heater
That should tell you how much we love this heater. The first one we bought was for a family member who kept the house cold because of high heating costs. I sent him this heater, and it kept whatever room he was in wonderfully warm, without inflating the electric bill. Next one was for us at home. We have a fairly large living room, and this heater warms up the whole space in under ten minutes. We bought a backup for the bedroom and set the timer so it goes off after an hour. Works perfectly. We then sent two to my parents for when the power goes out during winter storms. They love it, and they love not raising their heating bill by heating the whole house when they're just in one room. Same with my sister, who lives in a climate with two months of not-hot summer and cold the rest of the year. No visible hot wires, like other heaters. Good blower sends out warm air; you don't have to be close to it at all to feel the warmth. Oscillator covers a decently wide range as it goes back and forth, or you can just aim it in one direction. We have two long-haired cats and have never been nervous about them getting close to it (which they don't, because they don't like the blowing sensation). Nice ceramic design doesn't look ugly. Ours, and the others I've sent to family, have now lasted for over two years, in some cases four. Overall, we all love this heater. ... show more

Color: Beige Pattern Name: Heater
I purchased my Lasko 6435 heater about 2 years ago to provide heat to a 12' x 14' room that I spend quite a bit of time in. It also allows me to lower the overall heat of the house but keep this room at 70 degrees in the winter time which is about 6 months long where I live. My objectives when I purchased it were to provide a cost effective method for heating this room which would be pretty much balanced out by lowering my house thermostat by a few degrees. Thus effectively getting comfortable living just for the minimal cost of the heater and no to very little extra cost in my energy bill. Since I am on a pretty fixed budget I thought this would be a good investment to make. Results : I use the Lasko on High with a setting of 70 degrees and it is on 24 x 7 in the winter. For temperature control with 70 degrees set I find the temp runs between 72 - 68 degrees. Thus it turns on at 68 and runs until the room is 72 degrees. It takes between 10 - 15 minutes for each cycle. Thus on a daily basis it runs about 4 - 6 hours a day. It is rated at 1500 watts for high but I believe based on what I did in research that that high rating is closer to 1300 watts. Energy Analysis - Given that it runs 4 - 6 hours per day at 1300 watts my costs per month are approximately as follows. 6 - 9kw's per day x 30 days or 180 - 270 kw's per month. My energy cost is about .11 per kw + .02 for distribution or .13 per kw. So based on this my monthly cost runs between - $23.40 to $35.10 or so about a $1 a day. Recommendation - This product runs quiet and in my opinion very efficiently. It meets the needs that I purchased the Lasko for and have had no service problems at all with the unit. I feel good using this method to use the same amount of power but be more comfortable. Pros - * Energy Efficient ( note this is for radiant heat for a small space as a supplement to an HVAC system ) * Quiet and I really like the oscillator function .. I think it is effective in heating the area * Looks much nicer than a typical space heater Cons - * I really don't think I needed to pay for the remote - I never use it but for some it may be nice I hope this review is helpful .. if it is please let me know. ... show more

  • Push button. The room is now warm.
Color: Beige Pattern Name: Heater
Update: It is now the beginning of 2015. I am still using this heater! I unplug it and use a small vacuum attachment to clear out all of the dust as necessary (I have pets, so after about a month or so of use in winter) , and wipe down the outside with a dry dust cloth. THE REMOTE HAS STOPPED WORKING despite new batteries, however everything else is still running great. I would dock half a star for that if I could, but don't think it is worth a full star dock. Fun Facts! - The metal stand is not a separate piece. It oscillates just above the top of the stand. - The buttons on the remote are ultra squishy and soft. - The remote needs 2 AAA batteries (not included). - The remote separates the On/Off and Hi/Lo power buttons - on the heater it is all one button and you must cycle through high power to get to lower power, then Off again. - See the second paragraph of 'Instructions' if you are confused by the timer light display. Out of the box: The packaging (of the product, not the shipping) was sturdy and sensible, easy to open, small pieces were safely secured and wrapped, but not tucked into those tiny taped-up packets hidden under cardboard folds that always accidentally get thrown out. This was out of the box with all pieces present, in perfect condition, plastic tossed and the cardboard recycled, in about a minute. Instructions: I folded them into a paper airplane and placed them into a box for safe keeping. You should too. I will read them in the event that I need to troubleshoot or return/repair my heater, but for now, they are staying in the box full of airplanes from other products so intuitive that their respective instructions were unnecessary. The buttons for On/Off, Hi/Low power, oscillation, and temperature on both the heater and the remote are extremely clear to understand. The timer is as well once you understand the display. It shows three lights for 1hr, 2hr, and 4hr. If you click the timer button twice, 2hr will light up. Click it three times, both 1hr and 2hr will light up, for a total of three hours, and so on. Click six times and both 2hr and 4hr light up for a total of six hours, etc. Appearance: This heater is adorable and classy. The glazed/crackled pattern is raised/textured, not just printed, and the wire stand is also speckled. It looks more like a fancy piece of pottery than a plastic heater. It feels nice and sturdy too, not too heavy, but it has a good weight to it. Functionality: Push button. The room is now warm. Seriously. When you simply press the power button, it begins at default setting High power, No oscillation, and 75 degrees. I pushed the power button and left my freezing, non-carpeted 10x10 bedroom for less than three minutes. Upon my return, my pets had emerged from their blanket burrows and I changed into shorts - my room was already almost 75 degrees. (It stops when the desired temp is reached, so you won't swelter!) It goes from 60 - 90 degrees, 1 - 7 hours, oscillation or still, High and Low power. I used every function at every temp, with both the remote and the buttons on the heater, and have not run into any performance issues at all. In fact, I am still just stunned at how easy it is to use and how fast it works. The timer is extremely useful, as is the automatic shut-off (if it reaches desired temp or overheats) function. I no longer worry about catching fire at night. Pros: All of the above. Cons: It is not a turret gun and will not deter home invasions despite the little red light and side-to-side action. ... show more
