Works great and makes a hot fire that radiates about 8 feet when it's ripping. Cleans easy and developed a nice color after about 3 months of consistent use. Two issues I've noticed are the deflector developed rust on the edges after a sneaky rain we had. Nothing major and isn't noticable when installed. The stickers that come on it from the factory are hard to remove and if not fully removed will stain the metal after a fire. So recommend spending the couple minutes to make sure they're completely removed. ... show more

I had been contemplating buying the Solo stove ever since it came out, but the $300 price tag never justified it. With this offering the same features at about a third of that price, I finally decided to bite the bullet and get one. The assembly was very easy - just pop the stove on top of the base and you are ready to go. They also provide a stand that's quite effective if you want to use it on a wooden patio, and a skirt/table attachment that has no purpose. You can leave it on during a fire, it gets a bit warped from the heat, but no damage. There's also a cover included for weather protection - dont think I'll use it for carrying, its a bit hefty for my comfort. The fire-pit experience was great - the fire gets started very quickly and burns really hot. You need to be about 1-2 feet away or get scorched. With its 20-inch size, about 4-6 people can comfortably sit around soaking the warmth. The top burn feature also works well, but there is still a fair bit of smoke that escapes from the top, so its 'less-smoke' not 'smoke-less'. Downside of all that heat and ventilation is that wood burns real fast, and you'll need to stack a pile if you plan on spending the evening besides it. Truly is smokeless!!! There will be some smoke when fire is first starting, as expected. Once fire is going it’s amazing! Puts off some good heat and no smoke! Family has been enjoying it for almost a week and it’s perfect for our back yard! The bottom section doesn’t get as hot either. Doesn’t burn the grass below it! Only downfall is it didn’t come with the stand or carry bag as advertised, but I don’t care about those personally. ... show more

THERE IS NO customer support. DO NOT USE SUPPORT LINK THAT IS GIVEN. YOU GET SOME GUY IN COLORADO WHO HAS NOTHING to do with Surestove, I Cant find any way to reach this company! That is not good. I want to get a spark screen but they offer no help or suggestions. Im guessing they don't have a spark screen. Bad business on their part.
