Easy to install. No messy wires if you take your time and remove panels to tuck wires away. Almost looks like a stock unit aside from a bit of power wire sticking out. Works flawlessly with my 4Runner’s Bluetooth system. Audio is all good, but phone call audio can be a bit tinny and volume isn’t as great as my factory phone call setup. Screen itself is vibrant even in the day time. Just the tiniest bit of lag but it’s really no different than most factory CarPlay systems. Once CarPlay is going, it works perfectly. Having a front facing driving camera as an additional perk is a nice feature. This one is decent quality and seems to record and save on its own quite efficiently. I’m very happy with it a few days in. We’ll see how it does long term. Mounting plate was easy to use and allowed me to mount in a position that wasn’t too obstructive. It also still allows me access to my factory screen for back up camera, radio, weather and maintenance purposes. The media could not be loaded. What a fantastic time we live in! We are able to upgrade our outdated car stereo systems without pulling apart the dash and attaching wires. It is made possible from systems like this, the Lamtto 9 inch Wireless Car Stereo that make this possible and yes even fun to install. The problems associated with wireless car stereo systems have involved connection dependability, speed and reliability, and integration of a rear camera that is dependable and simple to install. This system accomplishes this with flying colors in my opinion. Gone are the days with dropped connections or being halfway to your destination before the unit connects to your car stereo. This unit finds your phone and connects to your car stereo before you can back out of your parking space!! The setup is simple and is explained in the utmost visual manner by having the basic and very intuitive important instructions on the label on the base unit. You can’t miss them!! This step is so important and the key to having this unit work like a charm every time you start the car. It actually will search for your phone or the last phone connected each and every time when you start your car! Operation of the unit is as simple as operating CarPlay on your iPhone. Everything is set up by you for the operation of the unit the way you choose. Whereas most of these units from other companies have little or no instructions or information, Lamtto has a beautiful and well written and detailed booklet with illustrated instructions to guide you on your way to making the unit operate with the options you like! The box arrived and totally impressed me with the attractive color illustrations and neat classy packaging of the components of the system. Setup was a cinch and I had it connected to my phone and car radio in less than 20 minutes. There are 4 options for output of the music, carplay( or android auto ), Bluetooth, or thru an FM connection. There’s something for everyone to make you happy here. There is also the option to listen via the units own speakers. I did not like the tinny sound of them. I also turned off the musical tone that plays every time the unit powers on. It is cute at first but gets on your nerves after a while! The unit comes with a backup camera with a generous amount of cable to reach the front of your car. It also comes with an included dash cam which has customized settings depending on your image quality preferences. Images and videos can be saved onto a micro sd card ( not included). The screen can also be set to a darker or lighter setting with the option to automatically dim at night. The best part of this unit is its ability to do almost anything by voice commands without taking your eyes off the wheel. Not only convenient but safer for less distractions while driving. Plan a trip, text your friend, make a call……all are now possible with this fantastic little unit. I can’t say enough positive things about this wonderful upgrade to my old car radio! I literally have a smile on my face every time this unit powers on and is at my command for what I want to hear, where to go and what the weather will be! All this fun for such a reasonable price! I bought this with zero expectations. Wireless CarPlay from an unknown brand? Figured I would try it for $80. Well, it’s only been three days, but this thing isn’t bad at all! It connects to my iPhone within, say, 10 seconds after turning on, and my phone still outputs bluetooth audio through the car stereo. Everything just works. It’s almost strange how well it works. The touchscreen isn’t the “smoothest” I’ve felt. It’s a bit “sticky”, but it works well enough. I also don’t use the dash cam and have removed the included MicroSD card. If you leave the MicroSD card in the slot, dash cam recording starts automatically, which I don’t want. If you remove the card, it prevents it from recording automatically. I didn’t install the backup camera and probably won’t. I’ve gone this long without it in this current car and don’t feel the need in investing time in removing trim and running wire. Regarding mounting, I have a CD slot in my console that I don’t use. I’ve been using an articulating phone holder that fits in the CD slot. The ball connector on the holder also fits the heads this unit comes with, so I just swapped the phone holder head with the CarPlay screen head. Easy. ... show more

Unit is 6 months old and the touchscreen is inoperable. Have had issues with this flaming turd since day one! I have contacted customer support and I’m curious how that’s going to work out. But for now, don’t waste your money on this product! Maybe the newer version may be ok? But I wouldn’t try it. I will report back after I hear back from customer service.
