The main reason I wanted to write this review is for those of you who have a dog with skinny toes. I love the regular wire kennels, but when my sweet boy fractured his toes I was PISSED. So far, this kennel has been really nice! No way for him to cause trouble. Actually, that's a lie - he chewed the wooden windowsill through the grated portion of this crate (LOL). But, when it comes to hurting himself, he's pretty safe in there now. It also looks really nice with our furniture in the living room. It is somewhat noisy if your dog moves around a lot in it.     • Sliding door won't resist pushing at lower corner

Overall we like the crate and we have two of them. My only complaint is that the sliding door has two flaws. First, the metal that holds the rollers bends too easily and if the dog shoots out the door as you open it, they will bend and have to be bent back to run properly. The stop that is supposed to keep the door from rolling off the track when you close it is too short so when the metal bends, the door will roll off the track. Second, if your dog is at all pushy about the door, they can push on the lower corner and bend the bottom track and the roller hanger and get out. Our son fabricated a simple metal bracket to fit the free corner and prevent the door from being pushed out at the bottom when closed. Problem solved. If you have horses, it is much like the metal that keeps a sliding stall door from being pushed out by the horse. The company should add this in future kits or send it as a repair kit. ... show more

Pretty cute crate/table. The instructions are a lot like IKEA's, so double check all the parts before proceeding with the steps, I do admit I had to unscrew a few pieces. I purchased this crate for my escape artist pup, I think that this crate has done well so far. :) plus the sliding door is so nice because I do not look at where I am walking most the time.     • The Safe Place During Thuunder Storms

This indoor kennel is a piece of furniture as well. Easy assembly but a not fast job, but they may have to do with watching a ball game on the tube while assembling. It is heavy when un-assembled and in the box and two folks are needed to put the box where you want it unless your are built like Arnold. Once assembled easy to move as it is mounted on gliders. Very nice unit and made well. All the pieces fit and no missing parts/screws etc. Easy to follow instructions. When it was finished I put a small Indian blanket over it to get it dark and cozy for the pooch. Threw her blanket and pillow in it and she went right in. I like the sliding door and was one of the reasons I selected this kennel because we leave the kennel left open and a swinging door would be sitting open and in the way. I leave the sliding door open as the pooch likes to hang out and snooze in the kennel and why I placed a small blanket to cover the sides and back. More like a cave for the dog. Overall enjoy the crate very much. I think a stinger lock on sliding door could be more sturdier and the design of hole lock slides into should be shaped a little better to fit more securely. Ali’s why didn’t they use black rollers instead of white. It’s a little distracting to the overall look. But my dog loves it and I love you can have the crate open and not run into the door. ... show more
