At first glance this seemed like a sturdy, decent quality item. Alas, it broke on second use. Upon further inspection, I noticed micro cracks or splitting of the metal at the areas where it was bent into shape. Seems like a defect during the manufacturing process.

Just crushed crackers for breadcrumbs in about three seconds (fine - thirty) with this sucker. It handles cutting butter into flour with ease, too. This thing is seriously solid and comfortable to use. The last tool I used kept bending and took forever - so long my hand would cramp up. This pastry cutter could probably get run over by a semi truck and not bend. It's amazing. If you're on the fence, this little sucker is worth the risk. ... show more
