This smart lock is the worst product sold on Amazon, the fingerprint recognition barely recognizes it, opening with pin requires several steps and to close you also need the pin, I installed and only work for a month, the trigger stopped closing and open, the only wayto close my door was for insideor with the key outside, the manual that comes in the box does not provide solutions to problems, there is no phone number for support, only through emails. I do not recommend it, dont waste your money ... show more

I was very excited to install my new smart lock. As one who has installed many a lock in my life, including safety locks, this one was not so easy. To install the extenders to screw the lock through a thicker door, the instructions do not tell you how to get the shorter ones off of the lock. The shorter screws to hold the back of the lock body to the template can be difficult to line up. I had to take the "gasket" off from the back of the lock body in order to make everything fit. My suggestion is to mark where you need to put the front and back lock on the door. Also if you are doing this by yourself, I would suggest taping the front of the lock in place with some painters tape (doesn't leave marks on the door or the lock). There are more little tips to make this easier, but that is just me making sure that all of the screws were laid out in order of length as some might find the screw length confusing. Once I got everything set up and in place, programming the lock was a tad easier. For this, read the instructions carefully. Once everything was said and done, I am happy with the security lock. One thing is that the automatic deadbolt sometimes doesn't work. I haven't used the lock long enough to rate the battery life. *Edit* I just found out that the lock is supposed to "talk" to you, letting you know that the lock is engaged or disengaged or tell you that your fingerprint is incorrect.
