  • Good Radio
A lot of built in options. Easy to install. Everything is good with this radio accept for a few "nitpicky" things. 1- screen is too dim and gets washed out on sunny days, despite all the settings there are to brighten it. I set brightness to high and changed the view angle, both in programming and physically and it still could be brighter. 2- Android Auto only works if phone is plugged in. That's a bummer. But Bluetooth settings still work, ie phone calls and music play. Just no maps without plugging it into the radio. 3- I still can't find a MUTE button to stop music when I need to talk to my passenger, or someone through the window. There is no volume knob, and tapping VOL UP/DN takes an uncomfortable amount of time to adjust the volume, especially when I'm moving. A volume knob and mute button would be awesome. Those are my biggest complaints about the stereo, I thought about returning it, but found out the first two issues are pretty common with most after market stereos. It's still a Kenwood and a good quality stereo, so I am keeping it. Overall I am content with the upgrade. ... show more

  • Amazing!
The media could not be loaded. So for starters, i am not an experienced audio person. I just wanted to upgrade my radio to an aftermarket because i didnt like my factory radio. However i did not know this radio was more difficult than i thought it would be. I ended up taking it into a shop because i couldnt figure it out. First and foremost, the sound is amazing. The video of the radio is in a 2014 mazda cx5 with factory door speakers. You can customize the equalizer with many different slots to save your customization. The apple carplay does NOT work wirelessly. You have to connect it via usb. However you can just connect to the bluetooth if you dont want to use the usb. In the video mine is bluetooth as of right now. With this radio, i did not get a wiring harness with the radio so i had to buy that separately and manually wire everything. It also did not come with an antenna cord. the size was a bit small but its a good size for the radio it fits good in my car. Overall, it was a pain in the bottom to get this sucker in but at the end of it all i love it. ... show more

  • Great value, Android Auto
I needed a replacement head unit for my 2002 Nissan Silvia. This Kenwood unit fits perfectly, and the addition of Android Auto is great.

  • Perfect update to 2005 Camry
After lots of research I pulled the trigger on this Kenwood. It was 100% the right choice. Unit is intuitive and sounds great. Very responsive touchscreen, exactly what I was looking for. For the microphone I mounted it at rear view mirror, fit wire behind headliner until I reached driver side wire channel, then followed available wiring above gas/break to stereo using tie straps. GPS goes from driver side dash and follows same path. A long USB cable for phone plug-in can be snaked nearly anywhere, I brought it down the side and used a command strip clip to mount it. Plenty of room behind this stereo for all the wiring harnesses. Youtube this stereo for features, I feel it's a great choice. ... show more
