  • Power Usage: The electric winch is equipped with an 8 ft. power cord compatible with 110/120V AC 3-prong outlet rated for 15 amps or higher. The 1.2 HP 120V AC motor draws 9.2 amps at full load with quick change brush caps.
  • Installation: Installation is easy with the supplied mounting plate, cable tension plate, and mount for the 4-way roller fairlead. Comes with 42 ft. of 3/16 in. galvanized wire rope with a hook and safety latch.
  • Operation: To operate, use the handheld pendant which includes power in/out, resettable emergency shut-off switch, thermal motor reset button, and 12 ft. cord for free movement while operating.
  • Additional Features: The electric winch has a 3-stage planetary gear box, 262:1 gear ratio, and all metal gear train. Full-load holding mechanical brake for safety. ETL-certified to meet UL and CSA standards.

Pulling a trencher using a Honda generator for power. The remote is nice to keep speed under control. Nothing heats up, unit is not overloaded. A bit hard to keep the cable coiling evenly on the spool.

winch bogs down after about a week, that's just light duty use

This winch did not even turn on. In addition , it is definitely poor quality made. I have a Warn Winch and makes this winch look like nothing. By far the quality of the warn is much better than this winch. I returned this winch immediately.
