    • Awesome alarm especially if you have a convertible
I bought this alarm because I have a convertible mustang and there are times. I don’t like to put the top up. This was one of the very few options that was out there and I’ve been incredibly impressed. It works very well with no false alarms. I did have an issues with the app, not notifying my Apple phone when there was a deterrent. I reached out to them and they responded almost immediately. They said they would look into it and get back with me. They got back to me the next day said that they would have a fix for my issue on the app and within a week or so they had updated the app and everything works great I did have another issue where the alarm was no longer connecting with my phone I used their text support within a matter of minutes they responded back, asked a few questions then said they thought it would be best if they sent me out a new alarm. This was 4 PM on a Thursday they said they would get it sent out right away , I should have it early part of the following week. To my amazement. I received my new alarm Friday the very next day right around the same time 4 PM. Talk about amazing customer service. I’m still amazed how they could even get me a new alarm so quickly quickly being that I’m in Arizona and I think they are in Georgia. You just don’t find customer service like that these days. Bought this car alarm for a week long trip I was taking where my vehicle would be parked in a public parking garage for a majority of the time and was looking for something to give me some peace of mind when I came across this product. Setup was simple with the apps step by step instructions. The only problem i ran into was an issue with the software update step (probably due to my car being an older vehicle from 2005) but was quickly resolved by the Keeps Technologies team within minutes. ... show more

    • Unresponsive, stuck in armed mode, and easy to remove (Update: but improving, see edit.)
Edit (4/5/2024): Bumped to three stars (for now) as the founder of the company actually reached out to talk about the issues I had, which is a lot more than you'd get from most companies. I'm planning to install a full hardwired Compustar system & dashcam into my vehicle, but still want to get and use one of these as a more visible theft deterrent (mainly for when I take the doors off my Jeep or park in shady areas) and plan to repurchase once the bugs are ironed out. I was told they'll be adding some useful things like checking if you can yank it out at the end of the setup process and giving the option to be sent some leg extensions or double-sided tape if it's not secure enough, though I'd like to see those in the box since I can't imagine it'd be prohibitively expensive to include and would likely help a lot of people without the additional delays from waiting for them to arrive separate from the device. Also, the ability to fully factory reset the device from the app when something goes wrong would be welcomed (and may be on the way?) as the reset option does not seem to clear settings at the moment (and so, doesn't help with the situation I encountered.) All in all, it's a good concept and it does work for what it's supposed to do when it's functioning normally (my friend has one, and his seems to work fine,) but just has some issues that need to be ironed out. Based on the conversation I had, I'm fairly confident the company genuinely cares about the product and is actively trying to improve it, and it's still in its early days, so I'm not mad. I look forward to giving it another try once the current problems are fixed, at which point I'll hopefully be updating this review to reflect the intended experience rather than the one I had. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Original: Company claims it's almost impossible to remove once anchored. I can easily pull it out with some moderately aggressive wiggling while pulling in under a second or so. Why's this important? Yeah, you'll be on video while it yells at you, but that GPS tracking becomes worthless the moment someone tosses it out the window. Mine also is stuck in armed mode after setting it to manual arm mode and arming it to test it. Indefinite "changes pending" and now I can neither disarm it nor set it back to manual mode and resetting it doesn't fix it. Super frustrating. In terms of security, this is purely deterrent and alerting and will do nothing to actually protect the vehicle from someone who decides to ignore it. The camera quality also doesn't seem good enough to actually identify someone and is facing upward at a weird angle due to it being in a cupholder. It's nice to know something is happening but would be hard to do anything about it if it's more than a quick sprint from you. I had some difficulties figuring out how to setup a mobile plan for it or active monitoring so it might be nice to have that be a bit clearer within the application. I wanted to like this and was planning to use it as a theft deterrent in combination with a proper security and tracking system, but now I have no choice to return it unless I want to deal with it going off the entire time I'm in the vehicle. ... show more

Not only does this device work to alarm and deter but upgrades are on the way to allow activating the cameras to view at any time. I can't say enough good things about the customer service.     • THE vehicle alarm to have.
Scares away would be thieves, takes snapshots and videos of them, sends you notifications cellularly, tracks with GPS, and connects with one wire! What’s not to love. Back in the olden days of lore, I use to install fancy alarm systems, and not one of them had anything on this. The only change I would request would be optional power port cables such as hard wired, cigarette lighter port powered, or USB port powered. It would also be nice if I could link it to my Ring home security system and have it activate a camera when it goes into deterrent mode. But overall, in todays world of petty thieves, making your valuables less desirable than all of the other ones is a great line of passive defense. Well done. ... show more

This product was so easy to install in my car. It took me all of about 10 minutes to have it up and running, making me feel so much safer with this car theft deterrent. The only thing is I tried to update the firmware from my garage, which does not have good cell phone reception, and had to wait till I got to work, better reception, before the devise was fully updated.
