  • Incredible
Having never seen a gamecube in 480p in person, I literally said “wow” out loud and watched the demo intro of the game. Connected to a retrotink 5x pro, this really is as good as the gamecube gets in 2023. 480p adds a real stability and fullness to the image the interlaced lacks. My cable doesn’t have any of the darkness described on some other brands and zero audio issues. Truly smacks the composite signal I grew up with! ... show more

  • Great cables!
I’ve seen a lot of reviews on YouTube and elsewhere say these cables gave too dark a picture compared to the original set. Maybe they would in a side by side comparison, but I couldn’t notice any of that on my screen. My picture was bright and crisp, and I did not have the sound swap issue that many reported early on. I’m using it with my RetroTink 2X, for disclosure’s sake. Great product! ... show more

  • Amazing Component Cables
This thing is slightly cheaper than the Retro Prism by Retrobit, but it is not cheaply made. Good quality metal shell, sturdy cables, free brace to lock in underneath the slot, and so on. I didn't expect the picture quality to be this good, but it proved to me that 480P is a totally different game than the blurry 480i composite cables most of us used when we switched to HD Tvs back in the day. It also supports progressive scan for the games that used it. Unless you got the HDMI route or any other method is fine, but this definitely improves on the clarify of text and sharpness of the game's display. 10\10! ... show more

  • Awesome cable for your GC and your OSSC
It's a high quality cable-- next to an HDMI mod, it's the cleanest picture you'll get from a DOL-001. Especially if you use something like an OSSC as well. To my surprise, the cable also included a 3D printed brace-- a cable with a connector this size definitely needs a bit of support. This was a great addition. ... show more

  • Small audio issue but great overall
I would give it a 5 star review but there's just one small problem with the audio and that's for whatever the audio cable L and R audio cables are the wrong colors they are flipped around that may just be mine that are like that but overall this is by far the best alternative gc component cables

  • Pairs nicely with a RetroTink 5X!
Overall, the quality of these cables feel really solid, and the support bracket is a huge plus. I did not have any audio glitches or dark image issues that others had with the Prism cables. Perhaps they secretly updated the firmware on the latest models? They look identical in brightness to my Wii component cables, albeit sharper because of the better video output from the Gamecube. Really nice to use with my RetroTink 5X, as I don't want to use any HDMI dongles. ... show more

  • It works, plug and play
A little expensive? Yes but I'm not taking a star off for that and it was on sale anyways. Plugged into my GameCube, from that to my ODV, from that to a HDMI switch, and that finally to my monitor. Worked instantly, clean audio, no graphical issues apparent at the time. If that changes I'll edit this but at the moment I'm quite pleased. Just be aware the connector into the actual GameCube is a bit chunky, but that wasn't an issue even in the tight space I have available. ... show more
