  • Great device and easy to use.
This is a great little device and is definitely the right choice to make. It comes with a price tag but solves all the hassles involved with GameCube hdmi. In minutes you'll be playing all your favs!!!

  • What a difference!
I was expecting maybe a minor difference or slightly less blurry picture. I was sure pleasantly surprised. It just showed up in the mail today and I immediately hooked it up after work. I’ve been using a cheap converter that lets me plug my GameCube component cables into an HDMI port on my 4K TV and it works fine in some aspects but text and distant textures were very fuzzy (especially in bright colorful games like Mario Sunshine and Wind Waker) and you missed out on a lot of detail and the picture just always looked out of focus. With this! Yeah it doesn’t make the GameCube play in 4K Ultra HD, but honestly nothing will. Text and environmental textures look crisp, the sound is improved, and character textures no longer look smeared so you can see definition in their clothes/armor/etc. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. Well worth it! I just hope it lasts. I’ve noticed a few people on here had theirs break after a month or two of use, but I’m hoping those were just isolated incidents and that this thing is built to last, because I’m very much looking forward to replaying all of my favorite GameCube games with this new found visual and audio upgrade. ... show more

  • My testing of this Device.
For a while I have been playing my component games such as the gamecube on a 1080p tv and now with a 4k TV I wanted an adapter for my gamecube then I recalled hearing of this. Yes the price tag can scare someone but allow me to say that after testing this on my gamecube to a 1080p HDTV I can say I see a lot that made me happy. Near next to no lag inputs, picture quality is near perfect with no blurs and I tested it on the gameboy player and games that emulate older games such as the Zelda Collectors Edition. To take a chance for gamecube lovers to enjoy their classic gems for modern tvs this is the adapter to get, yes for a 160 price tag is expensive but understand that they gotta make things perfect and it's meant for the gamecube with years to perfect its capabilities. I recommended it to my brother and he loves it when he tried it out. So please if you can get this adapter and continue to play classic games like Zelda windwaker, mario sunshine and more. ... show more

  • Fantastic quality for HDMI with your GameCube
The media could not be loaded. After a lot of research this was the decision I had made to get the GCHD MKII to play my GameCube at its greatest capacity. Previous I only played with the AV cables. With the component cables so expensive, it made sense to make the investment to get the best product available for HDMI gaming and I couldn't be happier. It's easy to connect and use, and the output quality to my HDTV is exactly what I was hoping for! Pure gaming bliss with the GameCube! It was amazing to put F-Zero GX into 480p and widescreen for the first time and enjoy it on my 4K tv. Picture quality is as clear as I would had hoped and it vastly increased my enjoyment of all my GameCube games. It's worth it! I added a video as well. Hopefully Amazon doesn't compress it.... ... show more

  • FIRMWARE UPDATE version 3.01 needed.
I was strictly hoping to plug & play with this device right away but that simply isn't possible. Upon unboxing and plugging in the device as instructed, I turned on the Gamecube system to a black & white screen, no audio and a small display box on my TV screen that insists I install a firmware update to version 3.01. I don't know what in the actual hell that is, what I do know is that I paid a LOT for faulty defective equipment and I'm slightly livid as a result. KINDLY PLEASE INFORM US IF THERE'S A CRUCIAL UPDATE TO BE HAD. IF I HAD KNOWN THIS, I WOULD NEVER HAVE EVEN BOTHERED MAKING THIS PURCHASE. Now I'm waiting for a local gadget fix-it technician to HOPEFULLY POSSIBLY MAYBE help with the firmware update and to help fix the configuration button so it can actually click and function correctly. VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER SPEAKING. ... show more

  • The best HDMI Adapter for the Nintendo GameCube.
I was so excited to try this new adapter out. When i 1st tried it out, i did notice some issues but not with game play. It left some temporary burn marks on my TV. I knew how to fix it but I didn't have a Universal TV Remote. I contacted the company that made this product EON Gaming and they we're able to help me sort this problem out. You can use a Wii U Game Pad as a Universal TV Remote access the GCHD Menu. Once I was able to fix that problem, I was able to enjoy my GameCube Games on my flat screen TV without any hassles. If you combine the EON GCHD with the mclassic, it will look even more amazing. The Eon GCHD is pricey but it's definitely worth it. In my opinion, it's the best HDMI adapter for the Nintendo GameCube. Also, no input lag whatsoever. ... show more

  • Works great
Had my doubts but once I plugged it in and started up a game I was surprised how clear and sharp the images turned out. It’s also customizable for better quality. However, the price could be a little steep for anyone who going to play for short while.
