The gun safe requires 4 AAA batteries and the panel comes with an under-voltage alarm function, a red light comes on when the safe is opened using the digital code, which means the battery voltage is low and needs to be replaced.
  • Intelligent Alarm SystemIf the password is entered incorrectly 3 times in a row, it will enter the alarm state and the alarm will last for 50 seconds. Enter the correct password or remove the battery to exit the alarm mode. The gun cabinet is also equipped with a vibration alarm function, long press the ''#'' key for 5 seconds to turn on the vibration alarm function. The vibration alarm is automatically lifted after each correct unlocking and needs to be reset.

This is a the perfect safe if you have a few rifles. I like it’s slim design. I have a scoped rifle and an another with a red dot scope. They fit nicely. The barrel holder is sturdy foam rubber. Because I have a flashlight attached to one rifle, it may be that I can only fit 3 rifles but I don’t have that many. I didn’t need a big safe and really wanted the extra shelves. It is much sturdier than I expected though light enough for one person to move around (sliding it). It DOES need to be mounted to the wall or floor. In my case, I bought lag screws, a couple of washers and bolted it into a wall stud. You may want to put a couple of strips of wood between the safe and wall to account for any baseboard. I got a couple of perfect scrap strips at my Home Depot that were free. It comes with 4 nice drywall bolts, but I wanted the extra security of lag screws into a stud. Decent cheap safe. Can probably hold 3 rifles/shotguns. The pistol pouch is very small. The shelf is too. The locking bolts are secure. It’s appeasing to the eye and very slim. Again this isn’t a big expensive safe but it will certainly do what you need. The battery cover broke taking it off so he will need to tape that on.     • Cheap, unstable, and not worth your time.

Product is wobbly and unstable when standing on its own, even after adding 30 pounds of weights at the bottom. Bolting it to the wall and floor should be to make sure someone cannot walk off with it. It shouldn't be needed because it risks falling over should a child or pet bump into it. Further, the pistol holster included is positioned such that most pistols grips will be too large to clear the doorframe. My S&W 22 Victory and Sig P229 Legion would not fit. The holster is also sewn into the door, as opposed to being velcro, so you can't reposition the holster to better fit or remove it altogether. ... show more

This safe works but it is small. If you intend on putting an AR platform rifle in it do not buy this one. it will not fit. basically good for your standard shotguns and rifle like a ruger 10-22 or something.

Excellent value for the price. Quality gun safe that is adequate for a couple of rifles, 4 or 5 pistols and ammo. The construction is fairly heavy steel and the locking door bolts are quite thick and substantial. It is not a $1500 gun safe, but it is not designed or price.
