I have a traditional ankle brace but it takes awhile to put on and take off. These straps are simple and quick to put on and take off for day to day use. You lose some of the rigid structure that a traditional brace has, but it is way more convenient to use on a day to day basis.

i thought about looking up something specifically for people with wide calves, but as one of 6 in my household i was hoping to have something that will get more use outside of just me. took a risk on these since i banged my ankle really hard, ankle was swollen for a few days and hurt to rotate, but unfortunately these will not work for me, as it's painful to pull them up past a certain point. i will wear them rolled down for short spurts but this isnt something i could wear all day comfortably. ... show more
