I just received this scooter 2 days ago. I'll update this review if anything changes. This is for the S-10 dual drive scooter. The scooter arrived on time (4 days) and the packaging was in perfect condition, no damage. It comes almost completely assembled. You only need to attach the handle bars with 3 screws and tighten a few others after you position the screen at the angle you want it. It comes with a folding Allen key/hex key tool that fits all of the screws on the bike. I went over every screw on the scooter and nothing was loose or needed addressing. The scooter is big! Its very well built and nothing about it makes me worry about my teenagers riding it or myself at 235lbs. I'm 6'5" and the handle bars adjust up to a comfortable height. If I had to point out anything that seems like it could have been built better, it would be the rear fender. It's plastic and held on by a few screws on one side. It would likely break if someone were to step on it or it was impacted by something. Otherwise, it's fine and serves its purpose. The battery was mostly charged and topped off in about an hour. My son rode it around the neighborhood for about 45 minutes, testing all the speeds and drive modes. He got comfortable and really ripped around. He covered 11 miles total without issue and the battery indicator dropped 1 notch (1 out of 5). This is not a definitive test of the battery/distance, but I was happy to see that even with spirited driving, the battery still seems to have most of its life left after 11 miles. We're not using this as a commuter. Its just a toy for our family, transportation around the lake, or a quick ride to the corner store and we'll likely never completely drain the battery. I believe there are other reviews that test the total distance/battery capacity. Acceleration is strong! Even with me riding at 235lbs. I didn't top out the machine, but it accelerated smoothly and quickly to 30mph. My son is 135lbs and, of course, it accelerated even faster with him riding and he passed 30mph quickly. I have no doubt this machine will go the advertised top speed of 37mph( or faster), but I likely won't ever need or want to go that fast. My only gripe with the drive is while cruising at a steady speed and giving it a very small amount of throttle to lightly accelerate, there is sometimes a little jerkiness to it as power engages. Its noticeable but not dangerous. It may just be normal and the nature of an electric drive scooter. The suspension is fantastic. The scooter takes inconsistencies in the road, rounded curbs, rocks, sticks, etc. with ease with both lighter riders (135lbs) and heavier riders (235lbs). We have a much cheaper scooter with the same 10" inner tube wheels and and a coil spring dual suspension and the S10 is 100x better and feels much safer when running over small obstacles. Likewise, the brakes perform great with heavier and lighter riders. Very smooth and responsive with the hydraulic system. Braking is very progressive and controllable. Also much better than the cheaper scooter we have which is at the $400 price point. My initial impressions are fantastic. It definitely earned 5 stars at this price point ($999). The rear fender could have been built better. It seems like a weak point. The safety latch on the locking mechanism to fold the machine also appears weak and many reviewers who fold their machines regularly report a failure. It is plastic as well. But both work fine so far for me. The question of whether or not its water resistant could be concerning for some. I drove through some water run off on the street and it was fine, but I don't intend to take it out in the rain or run it through large puddles either. I'm not disappointed with the few discrepancies though, because for a 60v, dual 1000watt drive scooter with hydraulic brakes and a fantastic torsion suspension, this price point is almost too good to be true. Note: Almost all of the bad reviews for this scooter on Amazon in this listing are for the S5 single drive version. ... show more

In May 2024 the scooter stopped working. 5 months after purchase. The warranty claims that it is 12 months. I reached out to Joyor 13 days ago and mo response. Emailed. Called two numbers. One number says no longer in service. I have not received any customer support at this time. Error code E-01 displays and the scooter will not move. Original post: Got the S5 800. Have had since December 2023 and no issues so far. For our needs the battery life and the speed are plenty. The only thing that I would like to see different is if the tires were not pneumatic since it sounds like it’s very difficult to change the tube. Other than that, it’s a very fun scooter to ride and not extremely heavy to throw in the back of the SUV. Hopefully, if the time comes, customer service and support will help back up this rating. ... show more

I have had my Joyor S5 Electric Scooter now for over a year and I am still so impressed with the quality and build. I bought my wife a smaller and cheaper scooter so we can ride together, but I find hers to be so flimsy and honestly a bit unsafe compared to the JOYOR. This scooter is solid! I love the huge wheels and shock absorption, it gives it a very stable ride and I think is what sets it apart from other scooters. Breaking is also very smooth compared to the cheaper scooter. I mostly ride it on the street and often forget its capable of off road. Riding on the grass is super fun too. Small pot hole? Pshh no problem! When I first opened it, it seemed large and kind of intimidating. Bigger than I expected and I wondered if it was more serious than I was prepared for. But after riding it, I realized it just felt effortless. Now there is no way I'm ever getting rid of this thing. ITS THE BEST. The controls for 3 variable speeds are easy to reach and to press while riding. Breaks are on both sides of the handles which for safety reasons I think is very important. The light is bright and very useful if riding at night. The speed, mileage, and battery life are all great. I didn't personally buy it for commuting but just causal use. 3rd gear gets you to the top speed but for me, gear 1 and 2 are great just to ride around the neighborhood. Only notes I have, is that I wish I could lock it or require a code/ bluetooth security or something to start so I feel a little more secure parking it or leaving it out in public. It is on the large side, and slightly hard to fold and unfold. But it fits in the back of my model 3 with the seat down even without folding it. Folding it might just take some getting use to, I rarely try. I find its weight and size to play a role in its stability. Not an issue for me. I had one issue after riding over some bumps that must have caused some wiring connecting the power source to come loose. At first I thought I was out of battery and would be walking home, but after making sure the wires were plugged in tightly I realized what happened/ a simple fix and probably a one time thing. Anyway I was back on the move and made it home quickly. Every friend I show this scooter to loves it, and we're all surprised its not over $1000 for how well it performs.
