I had a doctor confirm a torn meniscus and he recommended a knee brace. After researching and reading the customer reviews, I settled on this product. There are no instructions, so when wearing the brace, have the straps behind your knee. The left strap will go in front of/then behind your knee, then up to the left-side of your thigh and attach to the Velcro patch on your thigh. The right strap will go in front of /then behind your knee up the right-side of your thigh and attach to the same Velcro patch. If that is too tight, you can always attach lower on your thigh to your comfort level. This brace is fine Fall thru Spring, but in the Summer it can be hot to wear b/c it's a heavier material. Another side note is if you are muscular, even after measuring as instructed, you may want to consider 1 size larger. One advantage is you get 2 braces in the package. ... show more

The idea is good, however, the two straps that come from the bottom, criss cross and then strap at the top do give good support, but, what they do is pull the compression sleeve together causing wrinkles. This means instead of having the sleeve giving good pressure from top to bottom, it pulls it together and can make it uncomfortable. I've had two other people try it and it did the same thing so it's not just me. ... show more

So I measured where it says to measure. That part of my thigh was 18.75". So I ordered the Large according to their chart. I put it on as tight as I can get it, but it keeps sliding down. It stops right on top of the kneecap. So it just pulls down on the kneecap in a very uncomfortable manner. I will try to return them. ... show more
