As I get older, my knees have started to bug me, sometimes getting sore and sometimes feeling unstable. I like that a good knee brace helps make them feel a little more stable and might prevent them from getting as sore. So, I am still a little fuzzy on why "copper" fiber is supposed to have a therapeatic effect, but I figure that even if it only provides a little placebo effect, there is verry litle downside to having a compression sleeve made from 10% woven copper strands and a whole lot of Nylon (50%), Elastic (30%) and Spandex (10%). These sleeves provide a feeling of security by improving my“proprioception”. Proprioception is the body’s way of stabilizing itself. I, like many people with arthritic pain or a tweaked knee, have a sense that my knee is not stable despite having normal ligaments. My pain or stability is not really a structural problem, but my unsupported knee feels unstable. When wearing a compression sleeve, my knee feels less likely that it wants to give way. So compression sleeves are really nice, and I appreciate that the JHVW sleeves come in a pair. They are nice and stretchy and easy to put on and take off. I like that the straps can be used to further support the sleeve or that they can be taken off completely. Other than that, I think the JHVW sleeves fit well, and are comparable to any good compression knee brace. Pros: - Large range of sizes (S-eXL) - Nice and stretchy - not too tight or over compressive - Tailored fit from the optional elastic straps - Two braces in the package - Relatively comfortable - Makes the knee feel "more stable" Cons: - There is no additional stiffening provided by these braces, so they are not good for sports that involve a lot of knee twisting or for patients who must avoid knee twisting. - Some tendency to roll down from the thigh - It appears that the anti-slip parts are made of Latex - which gives some folks skin irritation. - Hand wash and air dry only - No real patella locator except some stitching on the brace - like every other compression brace, these are kind of hot to wear in hot weather, they breathe, but it is like wrapping your legs in a winter coat. So, in summary, these are pretty nice compression sleeves. They do the job for the right kind of need. I will continue to enjoy them puttering around the backyard or on hikes. I measured before I ordered, and based on that, these should've worked out fine. Unfortunately, they are a little too large, but only on the edges, which is weird. They still seem to help though.

I twisted my left knee, and the pain was excruciating. The doctor told me that I may have torn my meniscus. He taped my leg with Kinesio tape, which helped, but my knee still felt very unstable. I researched what type of knee brace was appropriate for a torn meniscus and was so happy to have found this. It's been a lifesaver for my knee. When I wear this, my knee feels well-supported and secure. This brace has reduced my pain tremendously from the first time I wore it. No more odd things moving and no more popping. Although it supports my knee, it does not minimize the swelling of my leg after having been on it all day. However, when I have time to rest and put up my feet, the swelling goes down. The brace is quite comfortable. The only issue I have is that after wearing it for several hours, the wrap around the back of my knee begins to chafe. Overall, this has been great! These knee braces are phenomenal! For the price and getting a 2 pack, these would be great for anyone with acute joint pain or swelling around the knee. I do not know much about the copper material and how it contributes to overall human health, but I do know that the compression of these braces are relieving of knee pain. It has multiple straps for support and feels sturdy when on the knee. I would recommend these braces to anyone. I got this knee brace to help me with my workouts. I've just recently started with squats that I am using weights with to help me build some strength. And I've started noticing pain in my knees so I decided to try knee support to help me. I wanted the knee support to help me be able to continue my work outs and at the same time protect my knees from any damage. I liked this one as it looked big enough to add the support and compression I wanted. I followed the seller's chart measurements and the fit was perfect and comfortable. These are very stretchable and indeed provide great compression. I also found they're great for walking. When I wear these I feel like the brace has helped my wobbly knees become properly positioned for holding them in place which results with my legs feeling strong and supportive. I was skeptical about the copper line if products but always wanted to try them out. Since this was part of a promo I figured why not give it a shot and I'm glad I did. These are super comfortable and supportive much more than I expected when unboxing. I have a partially torn acl and mcl that often gives me some issues during my morning job and wearing this helped to get me past those all week.
