  • Wear a weight belt.
Impressed with quality for price, may actually be over built as it contains more and thicker steel than my multi ton actual vehicle jacks, in a product that is ostensibly made for lifting less than 1000 lbs. I must emphasize, it needs a 6th star for sturdiness. Fits under my work bench and has been useful for a lot of things such as removing gas tanks and holding exhaust in place, great product, just, why is it so heavy Jegs? Im 6'2 and 250lbs and moving this thing around is a significant workout. My girlfriend was trapped in the house when the delivery driver left it on the porch in front of the door. Oh well, cant beat it for the price. ... show more

  • Sturdy
Very nice quality. Was able to replace the transmission in my jeep by using this. Definitely recommend

  • Good enough??
The Transmission jack is good enough to get the job done, The tilt/leveler feature on the jack is pretty neat, albeit it's a bit wobbly. The hydraulic pump arm is not quite 0 lash, so you will need to adjust the jack a bit, the whole pump arm will move 1/2 inch before the jack starts lifing. Quality is alright, but really a jack that's 200 some odd dollars, you're looking at it. Sunnex or OTC brand might not be a bad idea if you are flush with cash. Just about ready to remove the A727 transmission soon! ... show more

  • Just get another jack
This thing was so bad in so many different ways. First of all, the base that the transmission sits on is wobbly. I mean really wobbly. There's no indentation for the transmission to sit on if it has a curved bottom, so it's just free to slide around and this is only amplified by the wobbliness of the base. Of course you would strap the transmission down to prevent this but the chain that comes with it is absolutely useless. Just buy a separate ratchet strap because you are not going to get use out of that chain. The jack is hardly low profile. I had my car on the highest level that my jack stands could go and the transmission sitting on the jack wouldn't clear it. I had to scoot the transmission under the car and try and lift it onto the jack after the fact. Quality control is also bad. 2 of the nuts that holds on the wheels were not threaded so I had to just discard them. I left it under the car for the night and it managed to get rust spots along the welds. The only upside is that the handle can rotate a good 360 degrees, however, the back part of the handle gets caught on the pressure release part and if you aren't paying attention, you could accidentally release the pressure in the jack and cause it to fall down. And the absolute WORST part of all, the jack doesn't even hold itself up. If you leave it overnight, it will let down on its own. This thing just sucked man. buy absolutely any other transmission jack. ... show more

  • solo transmission/engine work approved.
This helped me drop the transmission in a 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer ES. No complaints, it maneuvers, it angles, it swivels. One thing tho, upgrade the plastic knows for something more sturdier like steel or metal knows. Once weight is applied to surface of jack, it's hard to use the angle knobs, maybe weld solid t handles for turning the knobs as shown in picture of item. The plastic knobs will slip off or break free from its "adhesive" glue. That's about the only thing to complain about really. ... show more

  • Works well some modifications needed
This is a nice transmission jack for the price. I did however have to modify it slightly. The lock nut for the adjustment side to side kept loosening as I’d adjusted it and backed all the way off once. A quick spot weld to hold it in place and no issues sense.
