It takes a couple hours to get it going, but once it does, it works just as a lava lamp should. The bubbles are nice and I haven't had any fogging issues. Looks very nice on my desk, definitely would recommend.

I had never had a lava lamp before so I wasn't sure what to expect. My apartment tends to be really cold (55-60F) and the instructions said that the lamp might not work in those conditions. The first five uses were not pretty, either the coil floated up or it didn't heat up enough and there'd be weird snake-like wax blobs floating around. However, after about a week of just turning it on for 6-8 hours and letting it do its thing, the lamp started working perfectly. I use it as my nightlight every day. I absolutely love this lava lamp and the fact that I could choose the color of the wax and the liquid was really awesome as well. I've had it for over a month now and it makes a very good centerpiece and conversation starter.

The bulb it came with didn't work so it took another few days for it to work (itight be because it was wrapped as a gift for a month before we tried to use it). We got 4 bulbs for 8 $ and it is lovely!

The lava lamp I got is great, looks nice, and is what I wanted as a kid, but I'm an adult now and can use my money how I please. In a side note my bulb came damaged, the filament was disconnected due to rough handling by amazon. Upon contacting amazon they told me to replace the entire thing, but I pushed on and asked to talk to the company directly since it was just the bulb, on the seller page you can contact Jambo directly and they instantly offered to send me replacement bulbS free of charge, which is what I kept arguing with amazon customer support about, they're a lava lamp company of course they sell and have replacement bulbs. I just wanted to let yall know that these are good people, and I very much enjoyed my service with them, and love watching my lava lamp gloop away next to my monitor. ... show more

We got this lava lamp for our son for his birthday. We are new to lava lamps, and at first I was nervous about some of the wax that seemed to be stuck on the side. I was also not sure at first if it was going to be as cool as I was hoping as the wax was not moving as much in the beginning due to it still being heated by the bulb. However, not long after we got it going, it was working exactly how I was hoping it would work! We have been super happy with it. Not long after having it, however, my son accidently broke the bulb. I ended up contacting customer service in hopes of purchasing a replacement bulb, knowing the issue was due to our own fault not the company's. They responded right away and were incredibly kind and easy to work with to replace the broken bulb! This lava lamp was a little more money than some of the other options we were looking into but not by much. We chose this one because we wanted this color combo over the other slightly cheaper options. We have no regrets and have been very happy with the purchase! UPDATE: Customer service sent me a refund and 2 replacement lamps, which was nice and great service, but both the replacement lamps are HORRIBLY cloudy. You can't see any of the wax inside the lamps. And the boxes weren't dropped or damages so the orange lamps are 100% faulty and garbage. Buy another color, do not buy the orange ones! I bought a purple/pink one and it looks great so it's the orange ones that are completely defective and it's not because of shipping problems. I bought two of these lamps and both are so cloudy that you can’t see the wax inside. They were on for hours and moving around great inside but sooo cloudy. I would think it was a fluke but both are bad. I bought a different lamp from a different company that I shared a photo of - so clear!! I’m going to have to return these. I was skeptical at first. I’ve had lava lamps before that never worked. First night I turned this one on, ran it for 12 hours straight. Nothing. Just a blob at the bottom of the bottle that never moved. Second night turned it on, within 30 minutes it was up and moving. Worked great. I had read online it can take some time to get it going properly. You need to do a couple on/off cycles to warm it up. I use this as a nightlight in the bedroom. The light from the lamp lights up the room in a soft blue glow, while the lava bubbles n floats in the bottle all night. Love it! ... show more
