    • Okay, but there’s a better Ironclad for ranching type work

These gloves were chosen for general purpose around the property gloves. They are comfortable with no break-in required and the sweatband has been nice. However after about 1 month of getting stickers through all the places that are not leather from pulling Sandburg, goatheads, and tumble weeds I chose another Ironclad glove call the 360 Leather Cut Impact, which I’ve been much more happy with and give those 5 stars for comfort and more of what I would expect from a ranch type glove. ... show more

I'm amazed with the durability of these. Have been through two full seasons of yard work, cutting down trees, splitting wood, etc. The only problem I can find on them is the one loose thread in the 3rd picture. You can also see it in the 2nd picture so you can see how minor it is. All that said, I'm using these in a residential setting with about a 1 acre yard where I do all the maintenance: mowing, leaves, fertilizing, mulching, etc. So it's not like I'm using them 40 hours a week. I'm comparing these to the cheapo leather/canvas work gloves from Home Depot - I have never had a pair of those last longer than a few months of regular usage. The other thing I like about them is they slip on easily and don't fall off, even without any velcro. I guess because they are well tailored. Bought another pair so I have one pair for the cleaner jobs in the shop and one for the dirty jobs. ... show more

They are good gloves, but NOT worth $27.00 (on sale). Left hand ring finger ripped out in the first month. I've had them for almost a year and they are very comfortable.

These are comfortable gloves that allow you to use your fingers to hold on to material. I handle a lot of logs and firewood. I wore the fingertips through in about 30 days.

Gloves fit well, but were hot. The fingers didn’t hold up as well as I’d hoped they would. I found the Mechanix gloves a bit better in durability, cooler.
