This truly keeps food HOT! I left my lunch bag in my car and the temp was in the teens that day. I came out 4 hours later to eat lunch. I was surprised. Utterly shocked. Not only was my food warm still, it was too hot for me to eat some of it. I don’t know why I was shocked, because their mugs are just as amazing. I’m keeping it at 5 stars despite one problem I have with it. The spoon. It doesn’t lock, so if you pull the spoon one direction, it tries to close on you. There also is no place to connect the spoon to the container. It would be nice if there was a spot on the top or side to attach the spoon. Purchased this for my teenager son as our old one didn’t fit enough food for him. I prepare his lunch at 6am and he eats lunch at 10:45 and he says it is still very hot. Perfect size to fit enough food for him. Fair price and it seems sturdy to last for a while. It looks good but food doesn’t stay Hot. It remains slightly warm to touch. Holds good amount of food for an adult . The black edges have peeled a little for now but I did use it in dishwasher a couple of times so could be that. So it’s strictly hand wash . Regardless, the the outer paint peels off even if it’s washed with hands. Gets scratched easily . Good buy if you care less. ... show more

I just add boiling water to it in the morning and let it sit in the thermos for 5-10 minutes. Then I add the heated food. This container is so cute and the best part is that keeps my daughter’s lunch hot. She doesn’t like school lunches so I end up making hot meals for her to take everyday. You can fit a big portion and it comes with a spoon. Good value!
