I am pleased with this product. It is well made of a thick canvas. The size is good -- it holds quite a few logs but not so many that I (a 120-lb woman) cannot carry it. I recommend it.

    • Seems very durable
I've only had this a short time, but it's very handy to bring firewood into the house, rather than carry it by hand. My 10 year old son was able to use it as well. The straps and material feel like they'll last a good while, compared to most things made today. I chose this one because the straps go end to end. Another one I looked at the straps (handles I guess) were just attached at each end of the material. I think it should last two or three years of regular use. Time will tell for sure though. The weak point is the handles. The main material might wear and may even get small holes, but it will still carry wood. Once the handles break, though, it's essentially useless for carrying. If the handles / straps were a 1/4" thick leather, I'd say it would last maybe ten years. ... show more

I reviewed the little log stand separately, but I did buy them together. I can fill this with more wood than I can carry--but I am kinda fat and old! You can also get just a little. I like that it carries small pieces well, or larger ones. I do have a cart (looks somewhat like a dolly) for my larger woodstove, but this second one is smaller and in a room with lots of windows, so this works great to go below the window. We've used it a month or so and find this tote to be just right--well made, good design (not that it is very complex--but some folks mess up simple things!). You can really count on this sack to carry the heavy loads that would cause other sacks to drop their loads. No fail handles and very heavy weight canvas that I believe will be hauling logs for many years. The only minor gripe is it came all folded up which resulted in creases that seemed to affect the wax coating in the area that creased. Considering what it’s intended for it isn’t a big deal but it would be nice to have a good looking sack from day one, rather than a wrinkly sack. ... show more
