Wow! We used a different recover suit for the first few days, which worked great! I felt we needed a second / back up. So, I did more research before buying. The first recovery suit was about $45 dollars, bought on the way home from the Veterinarian's office. So, I knew the size was okay. I just wanted to see if I could do better with the price. Well, this recovery suit is better for us! And, it cost less!!! Yay! We live in SF, CA, so orange and black work for us year round! Go Giants!! I love the design of this suit. its easy with the velcro. The neck design is good, as it will keep the suit even more secure. Our dog kept getting to his stitches even when he was wearing his cone. This shirt, coupled with the cone, was the only thing to stop him from opening up his would again. It worked really well, and we didn’t even have to take it off he we took him out. We just undid the Velcro and strapped it over his shoulders when we took him out. It couldn’t have been easier. It feels somewhat durable and the Velcro seems to work well. The measurements are a bit off though. It was way too long. I washed it and put it in the dryer and it shrunk, making it fit a little better. For the price, it’s not awful.

I bought this recovery suit to protect my 8 month old puppies from licking there incision site after neutering. Today was the day of surgery and I bought these a few days in advance. Day of surgery when we got home I opened the package to put the suit on one of my pups and it had a big rip in it already. I put it on my dog since I didn’t have any other suit for him hoping it would function properly but his “site” is not covered in this suit so it defeats the purpose entirely. His body is covered but the butt area is too large so all his little manhood area is out. So some areas of the suit are tighter then I prefer, but the but area is too long/big. My dog is a 16 lb toy fox terrier mix and I bought a size medium. This may be better for a skinny long dog. I tried to contact the seller to see if I could get a replacement or a different style but it says to just contact Amazon. ... show more

Very good. This suit fit my dog well and kept her from getting at the area where she was operated on so that it could heal. Keeping her from doing damage to that spot is worth its weight in gold to me. I had her wear the suit a few times before the surgery so she could get used to it. I didn’t want her to be stressed from wearing it, so getting familiar with it beforehand made it possible for her to be comfortable wearing it after the surgery and to relax and let herself heal. ... show more

I ordered five different kinds so I wasn't sure what would fit these right here work great. They're stretchy and they're a soft material. All the other ones wasn't long enough for my girls. I like the fact that I can just unclip the back and look in on their wound to be sure it's healing good without having to take it all the way off The neck and armholes are a stretchy material elastic to where it's even comfortable and they can move freely. I read a comment about the velcro being weak. He must have had a bad one not sure because these are very Strong it takes a firm pull to get them off ... show more

Got it when our corgi was neutered and we'd tried everything to keep him away from his stitches. This did absolutely nothing to help. The back end was too big, even though the front fit fine.
