  • Changed My Dog's Demeanor
My dog is very anxious and some reactivity on the leash. Since he has been taking this powder, he is so much calmer. It is obvious to me and to others that he is more relaxed. I had been pessimistic about before I purchased it, but wanted to try it anyway. And I am so glad I did. I recommend it to everyone now. ... show more

  • Just One Week In And Already A Difference!
My dog Josie is a rescue dog, she's a black lab mix, I got her in November when she was 8 months old. She was abused and was a very anxious dog. She hates being indoors because she feels trapped it seems. You can imagine this is a problem since I need her to be an inside dog. Over the course of a few months I have managed to get her to be as comfortable as she can be inside. Taking her for walks and to the dog park everyday was the key to that. But lately, the last month or so in particular, she has started to regress. She no longer will even come into my bedroom because she feels trapped having only one exit (I assume). I would prefer if she slept on the bed with me at night but she hasn't done that now in weeks. Worse, she has started to bark at people, something she never had done before. She even growled aggressively at my 8 year old nephew. She just was in a bad place. I knew something had to be done. So I decided to try this, expensive, but I was desperate. The change was subtle but really was noticeable even on the second day. She started to come into by bedroom just a little bit at a time, peaking her head in the door. The next day, she stayed longer. The next day, she jumped on my bed. Slow and steady, but progress all the same. At this point, just after a week, she hasn't barked at anybody in a few days now despite going to the park a few times. In fact as I type this review, she is currently laying down on my bed peacefully, something she hasn't done in at least a month. So I'm impressed! I'm going to keep going forward with this. I'll update my review if anything changes, but so far very good results. My hope is that she'll sleep in the room again eventually, but, even if she doesn't, the changes she's already going through are well worth the money and time for me. I'll add at first she didn't want to take this. I mixed it in wet dog food and she knew something was off and wouldn't touch it. So I left it out and walked away thinking maybe she'd try again later. She did, it was gone some hours later. The next day she went ahead and just ate it right up and it no longer seems to bother her. Also on a plus side, her bowel movements seem to be a bit less runny and more large and thick like they should be so that's a major plus as well! UPDATE SECOND WEEK Things are going great. Even at this point she almost seems like a different dog. She's more gentle, more cuddly, she's spending a lot more time next to me like laying on the floor next to my bed, as opposed to distancing herself in private. Her mind just isn't as consumed with her anxiety. Her behavior at the park with barking continues to improve and she listens better. 1 MONTH Even still I'm seeing positive signs in her behavior. Last night I woke up at about 1AM to find her sleeping on the bed next to me. She hasn't done that in months. Just be mindful that when a dog loses some anxiety, some other less desired personality traits might come forward. For example, she's been chasing the cats more and wants to play all day long, she just has so much energy. That's because she's not living in fear anymore. I'll take it! ... show more

  • Meh
Recommended by vet for our easily excited mixed breed. We haven’t seen ANY improvement. However, it gets 4 stars because she’s more inclined to eat her dull diet formula when it is topped with this! But too pricey to maintain. Almost as expensive as her designer food.

  • Calming Care works for our dogs.
We have 2 male chihuahua. One is very playful, but fearful. The other is standoffish and jealous. About a year ago the jealous dog began attacking the playful dog. Vet tried prescription meds for Mr Jealous, but we took him off that. Did not see much change. A different Vet recommended Calming Care. I was doubtful, but willing to try. (We did not want to re-home him). To my surprise, Calming Care plus training worked. He improved. The Vet recommended the fearful dog have the Calming Care as well. She believed his fearful reaction was inciting Mr Jealous. He now shows less fear to the other dog. They are getting along and even play together. While I'm not a fan of the expense of 2 boxes per month, the Calming Care allows them to get along. That's a win. ... show more

  • How much can you ask for a supplement...
We have a Jack Russell mix, 17 yrs old. She's whining from anxiety/dementia. Our vet suggested trying this. I find that natural supplements (for humans or animals) are hit or miss but I thought it was worth trying. In all fairness, the manufacturer says is can take up to 6 wks to work (which I found out after reading the packaging). I tried for 4 wks to NO effect whatsoever. Since I only gave it 4 wks, I gave it 3 stars instead of 2. Seems odd that they expect you to essentially buy two boxes just to see if it works. The good news is that my dog loved the taste, which many supplement manufacturers don't pay attention to. It didn't work for my dog, but it might work for yours. Just know that you are supposed to administer for 6 weeks for full effect. ... show more

  • Works great!
My dog is terrified of thunder and riding in the car. She had gotten very uninterested in her food unless we mixed table scraps in with it. She now runs for her food and has breezed through the last thunderstorm and car ride to the vet. It’s a bit pricey but it does work.
